patrol

The night watch had begun. I had volunteered to take first patrol. Trying to buy myself at least a little sleep before the troubles that were sure to lie ahead the next day.

And so the patrol began. Hunting, searching, desperately for the path to the crescent fields. The path home.

doorknob

They turn don’t they? They could reveal something good or something bad… It’s worth the risk.

suggestion

Suggestion What do you suggest I write about? I hate suggestion it’s so indirect, why not just say it out loud what you really want to say just say it and don’t mess around suggesting it. It’s silly. Why suggest something?

crust

I love to bake, I’ve never made my own crust before though. I want to try that, but I don’t have all the tools I’d need to get it done. It is just so easy to go buy a pre-made crust at the store. I guess it’s like that saying….it matters what is inside? haha Though the crust makes it that much better too!

I love the crust of pizza, but not the crust of bread. The crust of the planet is something else entirely. If I had to put them in an order as to which I liked most, I’d say pizza, planet, bread. Though really the planet should come first, because otherwise there’d be nowhere to stand to make the pizza. And that’s very important in the pizza-making process.

mayor

The mayor was a mean old man. He lived in a house at the end of the longest lane in town. No one approached his house. Everyone feared to. Yet he was always reelected every time the term was up for election again.

cathedral

I walked inside the building, awestruck. Nowhere had I ever seen a cathedral so large, grand, awe inspiring. The ceilings were incredibly high, and the carvings amazingly intricate. Germany was on a different scale than the USA, that I knew now.

racket

If life is comprised of moments of impact, surely this is one. Knees bent, racket gripped in sweaty palms, strands of hair falling across your sight.

emptying

She emptied the garbage can and grimaced at the smell. This was meant to be a temporary job, so why was she still here? What happened to her dreams of becoming a journalist, of changing the world? “Meg hurry up! There’s customers” She sighed and wiped her hands on her apron, hurrying up front.

convict

I wonder if I could just keep telling everyone I’m fine, I’m fine, I’m fine, I’m fine, and one day it would not so much come true as cease to have a true value or meaning. It wouldn’t matter any more if it was true or not. You tell me not to bottle things and every time we talk, you hammer the cork in a little bit deeper. I feel convicted of crimes.

architecture

I saw this guy sitting there with his skateboard leaning against a bench, looking at the architecture of the hallway. I swear, my heart skipped a beat or two.

pile

it was pile of lust jealously, eyeless eyes glances, silence

you looked to your right and saw me from your left and yet you kept on talking before we were dead

piled everything on there’s nothing here we’re done

it was a pile of lust of jealously, lust, love, hate stop it love, stop makin’ me hate

willful

willfulness, that’s a sign right? a sign that you’re heart’s willing to pull you outside apart from your bodily existence to love

I’m willing, she said I’m willing too, he answered

Willingness put them together As their hearts mended into one You knew that it was coming

Willfulness, that is

temper

The temper of my mind is rushing. Singing a song of romance and of chaos. Like the maiden and soldier kissing in NYC amidst a zombie apocalypse. A sweet sweet poet that recites its last stanza before taking his lovers arm as they lean back and fall into the swallowing churning sea.

fixed

Before cells can be observed under a microscope they need to be stained, before they are stained they need to be fixed. Acetic alcohol, makes a good fixative, except for lipid stained cells, as the alcohol dries out the lipids. Glycerol jelly can be used for these lipid stained cells, though it must be used at 60C as it is solid at room temperature.

everything needs to be fixed. People are always wanting the best and most advanced things it seems. It doesn’t matter if what they have is still good.

this is a weird site, i needed to fix my bike but i didnt because i didnt want it to look more appealing for people to steal it. So i never did, but then one day i forgot to lock it up and i guess it just didnt matter to the thief who stole it. It made me forget how much i hated walking

pageant

Flags unfurling in the summer morn. Horns and horses and all many of people low and high walked upon the merry glade. Stamp of boots from old warriors echo and the breathe of horses fog and steam the air. Wild wanderers, furred and booted stand by to watch as the pageant rolled on by

pastel

I used oil pastels in art once, forever hunting for the one that even remotely resembled flesh. It was pinky-white, hardly a colour suitable for the olive of your skin, but I tried anyway to blend. There was just something about you that I could not achieve in any artistic form.
