mystery
A mystery, something no man can solve. Simple yet complex, unsolvable to all but the best at this game. Intellect is the most useful tool in this game, as well as observation :D

setting
The stupid thing that I have to teach in school that is where the story takes place. The setting is really important because where a person is defines who they are. This is something that I have been learning recently because I am realizing that if I live in Chicago I act differently than living anywhere else.

I’m not really sure why this setting is so awful. I mean, yeah, there are hanging cantelopes on the ceiling and god only knows what kidn of diseases cantelopes carry these days, but something tells me it’s not that. Maybe in the future ill avoid cantelopes altogether, because i’m not really into teh whole dying thing. Also, they’re round, and round things scare me. It’s really because of the lack of definition, but sitll, they’re scary.

morality
Morality is a deeply personal thing. With the variety between us all, basic morality seems to unite us across time and space. There is a core level of understanding that is varied by experience. It is the ultimate expression of nature and nurture combined.

edge
I am standing on the edge of something greater than myself. There are eyes staring at me, beckoning, wondering, hoping, daring. They say nothing but they speak volumes, and I am standing alone on this precipice. It is like standing on the end of a diving board glancing down into a pool of lava, or snakes, or scalding hot water. I am on the edge. How do people live like this? My adrenaline is rushing.

romantic
When I met my husband 30 years ago, it was attraction at first sight. Our friendship and relationship turned out to be the most romantic one, I believe, in history, I kid you not!

couch
Long and orange. I say like rust but Louw says it’s all Tom Waitsey and calls it “Halloween orange”. It is where I sit when I am tired, slouching. I can hear the neighbours’ daughter playing the piano and singing – her voice is clear and strong.

celebrate
celebration is really a nice thing to do. We like to celebrate a lot, us people. There are a lot of reasons for people to celebrate. Its a fun thing to do; to get away from stress and all.

account
account for your actions and be as truthful in life to yourself as one can be. judge only yourself and not any other. I live in pain and sadness for my actions that I am accounted for.

hover
I like to hover above things and see what they look like from up above where nobody get’s to see them. Hovering is floating. It’s peaceful and calming. Nobody can get me when I hover. I am alone. In the clouds. Looking down on a world that is far too busy for me. I wish I could hover up here forever.

pepper
His beard was a salt pepper color. You could tell he’d been through much over the years. But you could also tell his light hearted nature from the smile lines that rest upon his face. He had spent 40 years on the force. He loved every second. But on that day, things would change.

mist
The mist was blinding. I kept shinning my headlights to see the road. It was an intense night, I had never seen fog quite like this. I turned the corner up the road and suddenly I lost control. I couldn’t see a thing! A small blur quickly ran across my line of vision and I swerved.

I woke up this morning to find mist smothered my bedside window. The beautiful white substance glowed and I just couldn’t help myself to write ‘I love you’ on it, wishing someone would do the same for me when I’m married.

poison
Hatred. Hatred was my poison. It filled me up, reaching every limb, until it consumed me. My thoughts, my actions, they were all an act of this poison that filled me. I couldn’t stop it. Eventually it became all I am. I hated everything. I found no happiness. The only thing I took comfort in, was hatred.

succeed
I think everyone has the right to succeed, but you can’t succeed all the time. Furthermore, you can’t succeed, if you don’t try. Sometimes you have to fail, because in failing you understand all the wonderful things you could do. To fail you understand your limitations and learn how it could be better. We all want to succeed, but we can’t always do so. Instead we should be proud to fail, because it brings us that much closer to our goal.

Big. Pretty. Artistic. Happiness. Love. They’re really big and pretty pieces of art that bring the artistic side of me. I use it to illustrate my happiness or love for someone. Yay

manager
I hope I never have the title of manager. I think of people wearing red vests and a name tag walking around not doing anything that is actually productive. That sounds condescending and elitist, I know. It’s the truth though. I don’t want to hand out yellow smiley face stickers. I want to be the person that pays the manager.

level
I live on the ground level an apartment complex near Baltimore named Sunnyside. There isn’t really anything that bright about it. Although rent is low, talk is high.

root
The root of it all is fear. Fear of loss, fear of change. Fear of the unknown. Most of my problems come back to it. Yeah, bad things happen to me. But fear is just getting in my way and making everything worse. But it would still be nice if things could get just a bit easier.

band
And the band played on, and on, and Josephine danced in circles round and round as the music carried her through the evening. No longer alone, for she had partners aplenty – no longer lonely for each had a smile just for her.
It was at this point that her heel snapped.

lightning
The lightning flashed as the thunder crashed. He woke with a start, heart pounding in his chest. “Oh, sweetie, don’t worry. Just a man, hanging a horse.” Because only in our marriage would a rather tasteless Mel Brooks movie line calm my storm-averse husband in the middle of the night.

violet
Be it a name or a flower, it is still a beautiful word. It is also a colour that has grown in preference in the past years. Violets are wonderful

sticks
sticks and stones! so flammable, so immutable. something that came to mind immediately, and i wouldn’t be surprised if that was the same for every entry today. sticks. like dried bones. thin, long, broken. dead because they are detached from the life-giving tree. once we are separate from the living God we also become dried up bones.
