lullaby
My mother used to sing me lullabies. She would hold me in her warm arms and somehow i would be comforted by terrible pitch and a technically very bad voice, but it was not the singing that would cause me to nod off, but the love surrounding every word.

i want a lullaby to envelop me. to wrap me up more than the blankets covering my body. i want the lullaby to float out of your lips like hawks encircling the clear spring sky.

there is a song called whisky lullaby. It is a great song. Brad Paisley sings it with alison Krause. the two are both amazing singers. The song is about a guy who comes back from war and finds his wife or girlfriend cheating on him, he then get so upset, he trys to drink away the pain and ends up killing himself. she then feels like she is to blame and then she herself drinks and kills herself.

manhattan
I dislike New York, too many people, too much pressure, too much hype, and too many Marvel superheroes.

I’d never really been in awe of New York. Most people are, but it just seemed too idealized. But running around Manhattan with Sara was quite enjoyable. I could visit there, But I could never live there, too much grey, not enough green.

timeline
A series of events that are thought to define who we are, an order of things past that are unchangeable and set in motion the rest of our lives.

dissolve
Jack watched in mild horror as the Splicer in front of him dissolved into nothing. The electricity had done it’s job, and now the path was clear. He took a deep breath and stepped into the now-clear water. The only place he could go was forward. He still had a lot to do, what with killing Andrew Ryan and all. More Splicers to dissolve with the flick of a wrist.

Jack released the energy in his hand with a satisfying CRACK! and watched as it hit the water below him. “AGH! You bastard!” shouted the Splicer that was after him as the electricity lapped at his arms and legs. “I’ll get you–baaggghhhhh!!”

lamb
The lamb brayed. It whined and pulled at the hem of my shirt. It was tiny, so tiny and it looked so soft, though I rather thought that its fur would become coarse soon enough.

murder
the night was cold, like the kind you read about in a book. okay, maybe not this kind of book, but a book all the same. A scream echoed through the house at the end of the street and a wild looking woman with white hair came running out, her feet pounding on the black pavement. “He’s dead!” she sobbed, collapsing to her knees in the rain. “He’s dead and gone! I can’t get him back!”

baby
Baby soft skin on the palms of your hands becomes roughened, callouses from days of digging and toiling. You look up at the sun and grimace when it reaches its peak, hands shading your eyes. You grunt and turn back to the baked earth and continue digging,

amount
amount. How much are we willing to give of ourself to other things. Whether it be people, places, feelings, what are we willing to give? I am willing to give myself away enough to not really lose anything. Does that seem fair, selfish, or something else?

now
every time you tell me to get a move on, it almost happens now. The times that it does not, bring stress, bring heartache, bring whatever. So I would assume since I am not doing it now I am not being productive. Look how much not doing it now brings. Why don’t we think about productivity that way.

game
Fun, excitement, with an end goal. Games are played of the mind, body, and social world. Games can have a positive notation, negative notation, or just be silly in general. What kind of games do you like? I like the word games, one word with three uses, used two for one.

five
fingers, toes. A number of odd proportions, a middle it has and better than four or two because of it. Five days make up the work week, a strong word for a decent amount.

patient
The ward was nearly empty, white sheets pulled tightly across the mattresses, metal rods standing next to headboards merely waiting for their visitors. Things smelled clean, untouched, sterile – everything you would expect in a hospital.

presented
I was presented an award last night. It made me blush because I wasn’t expecting it, but I always wanted it. I didn’t think I had the talent nor the imagination to receive this award. But I did. It’s awesome! I won the award for best..

I presented my case the other day. The jury didn’t look convinced. My mother was sobbing in the front row. I wished I could hold her and tell her it was going to be alright.
The judge didn’t like me. I guess that makes sense. Law doesn’t like chaos. They are the opposite ends of the spectrum.

library
the library is a fun place. you can go and just read your heart out and escape in a book and just stay frozen for hours. it’s an amazing thing if you really think about it. Libraries are also a good place to meet up and do homework. over all libraries are good

late
I was late to class the other day. I hate being late. I have this oct about being on time so much that I usually show up to class about 35 minutes earlier then I should. If i am running late, I will get stressed and have so much anxiety.

hall
Down the hall I watched her run, with her brown hair billowing behind her. My heart seemed to follow her through the distance. Once she turned the corner and was lost from my sight, I felt empty and hallow.

satisfy
i don’t know what could satisfy me in life…maybe a great love for the ages. maybe a high paying job. maybe just being in navel of nature and absorbing all of the beauty that it has to offer one. I think to surround myself with people i love would be lovely. just to be happy would be completely gratifying.
