fuses

fuses can go out when you plug too much stuff into the outlets. one time our fuses blew because my dad had the air conditioner on and he had to go out into the garage to fix it. our garage is a mess and it was difficult to get to. i dont really care about fuses

They come and go never ending currents eloping through infinity which is really all a spectrum of your imagination. Does it whimper when not found and will you hear it when there is no one around. The frequencies of your life are in full range driving themselves to heaven and back.

icing

the icing on the cake was pink – it was for the girls 6th birthday – she hadn’t really wanted the icing to be pink but that’s what her mum did for her. She would really have preferred purple icing as this was her favourite colour. but she’s a girl so

Is put on top of cake to make it taste better. Yumm. I have icing in my house now. It’s cream cheese icing. I love anything with cream cheese. Oh right, icing.

auxiliary

“Help me.” But there was nothing, just dark heaviness, just the too-heavy too-cold blankets she couldn’t pull high enough to drown herself in. No response. Nobody there. No life. No backup. No fail-safe. No lifeline. System failure.

the doorknob is that you turn to go into another room. Some are very extravagant and some are very simple. Some get very hot on sunny days. Some lead you inside some lead you out.

turbine

Oh this is a lovely word. Reminds me of turbinado sugar. Are those two related? Sugar can push me through the air like a jet turbine, certainly. Sugar is a screaming engine, and I’m its willing passenger. Sugar turns the air to its will, and I’m along for the ride.

turbine

The turbine gas automatic powered weapon rested in the hands of the man. He was confused, hurt, sad. People were yelling at him, telling him to put it down, that it would be all right. Of course it would be alright. Why wouldn’t it be? He was just standing there? Why were they angry at him? His hip hurt.

bucket

One bucket. Mostly full. Trudging along tugging the weight. Sweat drips and water slops up on tired legs. The carried load revives.

What am I carrying today that can revive me?

overalls

Overalls, the typical getup of hillbillies around the world. These extended trousers commonly made of denim are rather out of fashion. Unfortunately. I would become a hillbilly just to wear overalls with no outside judgement.

Overalls. The basic hillbilly getup, serving hillbillies of all kinds for hundreds of years. If only these hillbilly extended trousers could come back into

railroad

When I think of a railroad, I think of going somewhere — of moving toward something. I think of a new life. I think of a journey to become something new. What’s funny is it is now an antiquated way to travel, but sparks a sense of adventure and newness all the same. It’s the perfect blend of something old whisking me off to something new.

minute

One minute can feel insanely long or disappear so quickly you think you imagined it. It can change your entire world, or be so insignificant as to not matter. It is tiny and huge and incomprehensible from a scientific perspective. I need to learn more about how time works, just so that I can be awed by how much we do not know about our universe and ourselves.

keen

I’m very keen not to work right now and have summervacation and watch series and procrastinate a little more. But buh, I can’t. Stupid proficiency essay. Stupid school. Stupid course I want to pass :)

framework

A house’s framework is like an emotional wall. They keep one steady and inline. Huge storms rim them down, yet the gentle touch of nature brings it down piece by piece.

cathedral

The churches in Spain are gorgeous.

The Churches in Madrid are a wonder to see. I would love to visit the Sagrada Familia in Spain. Cathedrals are gorgeous old buildings that were meant for religious sanctity, but can be simply admired for the never aging elegance and beauty.

The Cathedral in Prague is a grand gothic cathedral which overpowers all the other buildings in Prague Castle. You can see it from the River Vltava at any time of day, but the view at night is the most gorgeous: the different colored lights make it seem almost like a painting, or maybe like a festive building that just so happens to be a massive castle.

I looked up at the tall, luminescent crest that stood above me. It was unreal how amazing it was, and how small I was compared to its beauty. I could not compare, sanctuary.

straw

It was an old fashioned one, like when she was a young girl, with red and white stripes running up and down it. Nowadays, nobody even bothered with straws anymore. They were a thing of the past, like common sense/

switching

There I stood above the water. The Memory. I wish. I thought. I was tempted. To be the one to do the act of switching with the poor girl who rested in the coffin.

Posted By Liz On 06.12.2012 @ 8:38 am

I’m switching places. I’m switching ideas. Opinions. Goals. Switching directions. I’m switching my life around. A 180. A complete flip. Am i okay? I don’t know. I’m switching off, shutting down, rebooting.

racket

Loud, overwhelming, booming sound. You are compressed into a tiny ball by a thousand beating wings assaulting every sense. There is nothing but noise.

nest

Warm as anything, deep as anything. Dark and snug. She feels the wind tug gently at her hair but her body is sheltered. So protected. All above is a circular window of the sky framed by black leaves and branches. In the middle, the moon.

Posted By Liz On 06.10.2012 @ 6:15 am

The nest hung in the exact place it always had. Life would emerge every year or so. New little creatures to fly high into the sky.

chat

It’s a crazy story to be honest. It started with a simple conversation, nothing serious. Then out of nowhere, you made my heart smile. Now I hate going a day without talking to you. Let’s hang out, let’s be friends, let’s have forever.

emptying

She empties herself out constantly, rationalising, categorising, sorting, but there’s always more inside. She’s empty but she’s still so full.

cap

To cap off a fine evening, they walked through the empty botanic gardens and kissed by the river under the stars.
