shower

The clouds darkened overhead. A drizzle started and then the floodgates were let loose. The rain poured down a heavy veil of water that made it hard to see. The shower continued for what seemed an eternity. But the clouds passed as the storm disappeared as if it never was there.

knot

My stomach in knots the world spun around me as I swayed back in forth on solid ground like I was in a row boat in a storm. I felt something coming up my throat and my stomach tightened further. I had never seen anything this bad.

wanted

The poster had his face on it. I never have seen the person but in my dreams. I always wondered if he was real. Maybe I dream of him because of seeing the poster. Who knows? All I know is the man in my dreams that is appearing constantly is a wanted man.

licorice

The whip of licorice held in my grandmothers purse. None of us liked it, but she always offered to us as kids. Now it’s taste reminds me of my youth and my grandmother. She always had some of it along with hugs.

cigarette

Glancing at the ground a cigarette lay bent and contorted like a feeble old man. Expended of life it’s smoke flickered in the wind. I hate their smell. Like a service to the cigarette I step on it to end it’s misery.

assume

Looking into the mirror I see myself. What do others assume about me upon seeing my appearance? How do I get stereotyped? I look away, annoyed at the idea. Without any founded evidence people are drawing conclusions.

chrome

The web browser I am using. It is quick and streamlined. I wish it had RSS support without relying on outside programs though. Overall it is nice though.

gong

The gong rang out through the damp night air. The crisp reverberations vibrated my mind as I sat in the chair waiting for the lights to come from the horizon. There was little time, I knew they would be here soon.

course

The trail wandered a bit. A stream trickling nearby. The direction of both intertwined in the same course. Independent but connected by their common direction.

tiled

drive

Open the door and step in. The smell of leather envelops my senses. Turn the ignition. Peeling tires. The extreme movement of air as I cut through the atmosphere.

twine

I desperately try to push through all of the strands. Whoever knitted this room together used an incredible amount of string. I cut through with my machete and forge on. This is the weirdest dream ever.

angels

Angels come down. No one listened. Keep walking in the same direction. Wings flutter silently. Bright light.

dispute

The two separated each other. Both glanced in opposite directions. There was no reconciliation.

Oil and water in one bowl, they could not mix.

palm

Trees in dubai. The oil touching my hands. Soft. Intimate. Never ending waves in the dessert. I hope there is an oasis nearby. I may die here. I lose my breath and fall to the sand. Looking up my last sight is the palm tree ridiculing me in my last moments.

gallop

The sound of hooves pounding the pavement shook the street as hundreds of horses ran down the main street. The city had been abandoned a long time ago. Now only these majestic beasts galloped through the empty streets. No human was in sight to ruin anything.

pregnant

Leaning with a hand on her lower back she closed her eyes.

“When will this baby be outside of me?”

Sipping a glass of water she sat down and waited.
