there should be a patent on our love because it was the greatest thing ever invented and NO ONE will ever be able to copy it

i believe i am an artist. when my limbs stretch long and lean and i dance with my heart on my sleeve and my ballet shoe and my leotard i believe i am an artist i believe that you can read my mind through my dancing therefore i am an artist

it wasn’t automatic, the attraction between you and me, but two years later, my mind was put into gear. i knew you were the one. but now you’re with her. and i still have to be your friend. even though i love you. i wish it was automatic. i wish i saw what you saw from day one. please love me back soon.

next week i will be celebrating my seventeenth birthday. i wonder how much i have changed in the past seventeen years. why do we celebrate the coming and passing of years? is there truly something to celebrate?
