measured
I think that if we all measured the amount of kindness we put into our words the world would be a nicer place. If we measured the amount of time we spent listening the words would have time to be thought about before they came out. we all need to take time to measure what we have to say to each other each day.

together
Always together was what you said, but not what you mean. Together forever is something we all hope for, but it’s something that isn’t always true. Like Romeo and Juliet, not together forever.

flex
I flex my muscles when I do pushups, and my brain in art. Flexing improves strength and dexterity of the mind and body. It make me smile when boys flex their muscles for me.

magazines
Magazines that are directed toward women are filled with airbushed models who created unrealistically high expectaions from women about themselves. It’d ridiculous that they can airbrush em so much. And the models are too skinny, they look ill :(

crust
Crust isn’t necessarily something that I love. It’s normally the worst part of bread even when it’s oven baked and really tasty. I think Crust is also a band… not too fond of that either. How about the upper crust of society? All in all, “Crust” isn’t really the kind of thing that has great connotations… or maybe that’s just my opinion.

belief
That I can do whatever I want. Sometimes i don’t believe on anything but in the end I have some kind of faith even thought it isn’t religion.

swing
She sat silently, swinging backand forth, enjoying the forgotten childhood sensation of letting go. She resolved to do this more often, but for now, back to the classroom, the children were waiting for Mrs. Hinton to start her class.

town
She had lived here for 13 years, heow on earth was she supposed to just give it all up for a liefe in the country? She didn’t know how to swap er town persona for one of wellies, mud and those slow country ways she had heard about.

spring
Spring doesn’t really arrive in Evanston until around May. Even then, when I walk around campus, I see girls wrapped up in puffy jackets, a defiant look on their faces as if the weather were a heartless playboy that dared to try and trick them with its flashes of warmth.
I’d missed the sun.

intense
My mind is intense. I am so mad at myself all the time for being fat. I am so large and fat and I am a whale. I have a pool party tonight and I do not want to go. Everyone is going to see my cottage cheese legs and think inside their heads… “She is so fat. How did she let herself get like that?”
So frustrating.

rise
Waking up in the morning, alone. Not being awaken by an noise or a touch, but simply waking. Opening your rested eyes to the bright, new world. Knowing things have changed while you were dozing. Or changing without sleep, getting up off your knees and moving on. Choosing to forget something that was doing you no good. Just like sleep, it’s refreshing. Gives you a new lease on life. A new beginning. Rising from the ashes, like a phoenix in the night. Rising from the dead, like Jesus in the tomb. Rising can only bring good. There’s no evil in rising.

torch
A flame that you can hold in your hand. That is crazy talk! And it lights up the darkest of places…like Jesus’ love…or Harry Potter’s wand (which is not quite as bright). Fire is an amazing thing. Hawaiian parties are also quite fun times. I wish I was a hula dancer.

domestic
Three months ago, this word would have been a fun word for me – I would have lengthened it to “domesticated,” which was what I wanted to be for my future husband (yeah, not at all a feminist). That future husband, I assumed would be my boyfriend at the time…oh how wrong I was.

bones
i was chilled to the bone. it was very dark and the puddles beyond my vision were making noises. was someone following me? or was it just the breathing of my pores and body. who knew when we started that the bones might talk. or even give us a path to where we should go?

bandana
bandana is a word i use to describe cami’s accessory, worn to wipe the drool from her mouth. she looks like a little cowgirl when she wears it but she can’t ride a horse and doesn’t even know what a horse is. in fact she can do little to even take care of herself. she is very under developed
