killed
You killed my confidence. After I met you, I was worried if I looked good enough, if I was in good enough shape, if I was thin enough. I never knew what to think, because if I thought I looked good, you could very well ignore me and blow me off. Then I would be left there wondering what was wrong with me.

wrapped
Wrapped around his finger but she has not one clue. Thinking she’s being a good girlfriend, when she’s really just being used. Sad how some people are blinded.

A pillar of a Roman temple. Goddesses and gods. Perhaps an illicit romance? White togas and gold arm bands.

bubbles
Blowing bubbles as a little kid. Easier times. The only trouble was if the bubble popped before we got it as big as we wanted. Friendly competition among siblings, trying to fill the air with as many bubbles as possible. It would look like a fantasy.

labor
Manual labor is no fun. Working hard in the hot summer sun, constant bending, lifting, pulling, ripping. Wiping sweat from your brow, looking up at the sky, wondering how much longer till your day is done and the nighttime can begin.

keychain
Dangling from the zipper on her backpack brings back memories of middle school. Seeing how many we could fit on our backpacks. Hearing them clack as we ran down the hallway. Looking forward to the day when we could actually have some keys to put on the keychain.

idiot
I’m such an idiot! Apparently I left the sink dripping before I left for work today. What does that mean? That means I came home to an overflowing sink and a slippery floor. That’ll teach me to rush in the morning.

drops
Raindrops pitter-pattering on the roof of my apartment. Little droplets roll down my window and drip off into the bushes below. Trying to get out of my car as quickly as possible, my bag of groceries drops on the pavement, but I’m able to grab it up before the rain soaks through the brown paper.

runaway
She’s a runaway train…runaway bride…loose cannon. Doing her own thing when she wants, where she wants. Don’t try holding her down because she will break free.

grape
A bunch of grapes. The queen bee getting fed, one grape at a time. Her wannabe admirers waving palm fronds around her chaise lounge. Life is tough.
