I think of a painting or something difficult to understand. I might be wrong but that’s all I think of when I see the word abstract.

Art can be very abstract. I prefer abstract art to regular looking art because I find it more interesting then not. Usually I picture it as colorful and mixed together. No real picture.

I felt a sense of accomplishment as I stared at my art studio, light shone in trough the four skylights. Canvas and frames of abstract art hung on the white textured walls.

Abstract is a kind of art. I don’t feel like describing it though and I don’t think I could in 60 seconds anyway. Especially after righting this story. The End.

The artist used very abstract colors in his piece of art. The colors of the painting complemented the artist’s hair :) i dont know what else to write

abstract is like abstract art I am not really sure.
By Logan Vashon URL on 11.14.2011
I really like abstract art a lot because it doesn’t necessarily have to look like anything in particular it just has to look odd and strange so I don’t have to be good at art to make abstract art. yayy (:

It was unusual. Something that could be described as modern. She never quite understood the term, so she did what she always did and sat and started out the window as the lecturer droned on and on. The tree was framed in sunlight, the leaves giving off an unusual pattern on the ground…

Abstract Art.. It’s a pretty good song, check it out: Abstract Art by Born of Osiris. The breakdown in it is legit SO killer. I’m actually listening to it right now.

As I looked at the walls filled with abstract art, My jaw dropped. The pieces of art in frames hung on the walls were done with amazing detail.

Much of my thinking tends to the abstract, but the difficulty arises in making that thinking concrete. It’s not quite like a theory/practice split, but if we can’t apply something, then, for me, it loses most of its value, purpose, and impact.

I looked at her.
She was ever-changing, forever stuck in an always-moving world.
She was obscene.
She was beautiful.

“What do you think of this picture?” asks Tiffany.
“It looks kind of weird?” answers Taeyeon.
“I think it doesn’t look like a picture at all,” Jessica chimes into the conversation. “What is that guys?”
“I have no idea.”
“Yuri offensively decided to mess up our dorm’s feng shui with this painting.” Taeyeon complains explicitly, pointing at every angle.
“I thought it’s a poster.”
“It’s too sanatic to be a poster.”
“Is it supposed to be something abstract though?”
“What kind of idiot finds a mole abstract.”
Yuri walks into the scene, happily smiling. “So guys, what do you think of the pic of my butt hanging on our walls?”

Have you ever looked at for so long that it became foreign. Even a word that once held so much meaning can easily be reduce to strange-sounding constants and vowels; an alien word.

The acid in stomach that becomes a growl, that’s not abstract!
“Love is” you say? Watch your breath, it writes love stories with vapour on cold windows…

Can you see it? Can you feel it? It is beyond what you can perceive. Is it in you, will you reach it or will you seize to find it all your life. What we know, what we believe, what we are and what we are inspired to be surrounds us in wind and in fire, untouchable yet we feel them. There are things that are stronger, there are things that are bolder, there are things that we all have to see to believe, yet there are things that are only believable when never seen.

This assignment and website is abstract. It doesn’t give you very much direction and leaves you thinking…what should I write and maybe my writing will be abstract.
When I see the word abstract, I always think of art.

Art. Weird. Different. Cool.
Polka dots and stripes; pictures that look like they are upside down when in reality, they are not.
Or, the beginning of an essay. Abstract. What will you write about?

Fall. Leaves. Orange. Happiness. Bouncing into raked leaves. A drip of ice cream running down your hand. Your dad throwing you up in the air. Abstract art. Cheese on toast. Smiles. Laughing till it hurts. Your mom cuddling you at night.

there is such a thing as abstract art. this is mostly trying to say that there is something there when there really isn’t. well of course there’s something there, but you can only see if you look from far away. this is the definition of abstract art.

The solid lines seem to be like walls – capturing moments so ephemeral. I’ve tried for years to let the walls fall down, but they seemed so strong, so capable of holding and releasing, given the right door. the vestibule closed. the house shrunk. the walls became paper, the lines were just waves. the streets are lined with dreams now, not homes, lined with visions of what we wanted pulled out like silk threads from the abstract unknown.

Abstract art is what comes to mind. A little while ago in science we did an abstract art project and instead of doing it on paper like everyone else me and my best friend created an abstract dance piece, we got an A+, just goes to show being original is the way to be.
By Meaghan on 11.14.2011
I don’t understand abstract art but I like it. It’s usually fun to look at. Also, you can make abstract art by putting down whatever you want and calling it abstract. I like to do that. Oh yes. I don’t understand pictures of colored squares, though.

Just to swim
In your waters
Is enough some days
You quell, becalm
My Green eyed vanquisher
Leaping across my dreams
Cradling me in sleep
Vaulting the moon
On a leopard appaloosa
Lay beside me always
Heat my blood

I like to think in abstracts—to go outside that proverbial box and view an idea from different angles, stretch it out of proportion to make a better fit, splatter it with paint to liven up the visual, put its nose where its mouth should be to force another to see a different perspective.

The feeling of the wind blowing the red burning leaves in every direction.
Know one knows what is going on.
It is all a mess.
I can’t make sense of it but I know it is beautiful.
Blowing in a frenzy
The colours a hot blur.
The rain pounding down.
The cold sun beyond.

My personality is abstract. More abstract than Picasso’s paintings, more abstract than Shakespeare’s metaphors, even more abstract than the colorful goop I made in cooking class, but not nearly as abstract as my english teacher’s tie.

I don’t really know what abstract is. I think of chemistry lab my freshman year.. WHY wasn’t I better at chemistry?! :( I also think of art like Picasso, which isn’t necessarily abstract but it appear as such at times. I love art and wish I studied it more.. basically this word reminds me of all the things I wish I had done.

abstract is something artistic and something you can express the other and inner side of yourself. Abstract doesn’t only mean awkwardness but it’s also an element which one can learn alot about a soul.
