  2. actual is a lot of real stuff that appears in your face, and you must witness it with your eyes, no hiding from what is actual. If love is actual then you must be alive, but if it’s not time to die.

  7. When you get down to it,
    when you dig the deepest,
into the pit of the actual abyss,
    you’ll see.

    You’ll see lies,
    white,
    large,
    various pieces of hearts,
shreds of humanity clinging to the hollow branches of bare limbs.

You’ll see soulless bodies, eyes glassy and skin rotten
numb to this poison radioactive air.

You get down to the pit, the actual abyss,
you’ll see where you left me.

You’ll see the little white lies, stuck in my paper calloused skin like push pins.
You’ll see the plastic encasing of large lies stuck in the back of my rotten mouth,
expect a pain stricken, desperate face.
Find a solemn, content one, knowing I had died there
in this pit, the actual abyss,
rather than with you, clouded with lies, want and the need that I can’t fulfill for you.

  9. I’m a YouTube addict and the word actual for some reason makes me think “the actual meaning of life” which makes me think of Danisnotonfire’s meaning of life video. Basically do what you like and quit what you hate so you’re not living in a vortex of misery. Yay.

    by Savannah l on 12.23.2012
  10. I have actually done this word already, once before signing up. I do not know if actual is the only word for this day, or if I mixed up an order of things by signing up after the first entry. Actually, I do not really care. I will still write again about the word ‘actual’.

  12. The fact of the matter is, I am wearing a blue shirt. It is most certainly not any other color, but who decided that? I was not the inventor of the color blue, but a person abiding by the rule that tells me that this color registers as blue forever. It is weird to think that we are trained to know colors.

    by Shaylyn on 12.23.2012
  15. Actually? You’ve got to be kidding. Is this some kind of sick joke? I don’t know what the actual truth is. But the lie is becoming more appealing every day. Or perhaps it isn’t a lie, perhaps it is the actual truth.

    the bucket

  18. it wasnt actually something any of us saw coming. i grew up like any other normal little girl. i played dress up and house and baked cookies in my easy bake oven. I was smart and i seemed happy. then high school came and i became a slave to them. I hated myself. i cut my beautiful skin and my innocence was lost.

    by laura d on 12.23.2012
  19. Actual people aren’t smart at all, they just blunder around doing what other people want them to do or think they should do and I find it absolutely ridiculous. People can do whatever they please, but they should at least think about why they’re doing it and do it for themselves because they want to or need to.

  24. The actual truth of life? That’s something we’ll never know. We’ll never know why we’re put on this Earth, why we’re here, why we’re born. Unless we have some magical, unexplainable epiphany, we can never know. Instead, we have to live out our lives to the fullest, so that way we can fulfill every possible angle we can think to reach– that way there’s no possibility we can miss any purpose we might want or have to live throughout our lives.

“Victim of the system, say it isn’t so.”

  27. An actual sentence is difficult to write. Many are run ons, some are dumb, some too restrained and dishonest. If an actual sentence was free, it would be easy and come quickly.

  28. derp derp derp. actually. actually i met this man today. i barely met him as he came into my place of employment. I recognized him as a musician who Ive seen perform. I acknowledged him and he must’ve not been in the mood. He might’ve been in a hurry or maybe, actually, he doesn’t give a shit, maybe he’s actually a jack ass who doesn’t like to speak to people who appreciate his music. I feel like its often the last thing a musician wants to talk about. They’d rather talk about things like chocolate covered marshmallow cookies.

  30. Is anything actual or is everything just a figment of humans imagination? Of MY imagination? How do I know if anything is actual? Who am I? Who are you? What is life, the earth, a telephone, an almond, a hurricane? Everything I’ve learned since I was born is no proof that anything actually exists or existed before me. Is death actual? Who knows. I don’t. Is that all that matters?

    by Coco Banks on 12.23.2012

    by Cyanna Watts on 12.23.2012
  38. Two truths. One is popular, the other is preferred. But no matter how much we think we value the preferred, it is often too heavy to carry, much less give away. We have all heard what we have wanted to hear- truth that sounds right to our ears. Very few understand what actual truth is, and fewer still ask for it. The only skill I ever acquired in relation to truth was disguising it.
