  1. We recently had the adventure of a lifetime. We went to Hawaii and hiked out to the LAVA FLOW at night! It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. It was also the scariest thing I have ever seen. It gave me nightmares that night, just one misstep and we would have all been gonners.

  10. “It’s an adventure!”

I made one of my many faces as this boundless-energy person galloped through “the woods” (which was really the track), click-clacking two halves of a coconut together to imitate a horse’s hooves.

  14. Adventure wasn’t exactly built into my DNA. I was always a quiet kid, sitting at home reading, not out falling out of trees or roller skating on the black top. Adventure found me: one day, out of nowhere, I was attacked by a black bear. I was walking home from my job at the corner stor, and there was a shortcut through the woods…

  26. never looking back seemed like the answer. Everyone always has this romantic idea of exploration – as if it is novel and romantic. I see adventure as a pile of dog shit. The idea that you have to go outside of what you to know to see beauty and experience newness. True – there are places I would love to see outside of photographs, but sitting in this chair, listening to the secrets of others – I know that great adventure is to be found in every minute part of my own hometown.

  27. We sat around our teacher’s laptop on the last day, watching the pilot episode of Adventure Time and pretending we weren’t sad. We all knew that this was it, the end of our adventure time, and the gravity of the situation was respected by all.

  34. The adventure in life is that it is a never ending one. For one to believe that adventure is some big event that happens, is in fact a mistake, because life itself is the adventure, and no matter how dramatic – or non dramatic – life is, that in itself is the adventure.
