  9. I am not your commander, not in the lead.
I do not sit on your side, am not the Hand to your King.
The table resembles other geometric shapes than the endless,
for you have decided we are not equals. The head
is the space which you occupy forever in charge.
The people give you that power by worship.
She sits in the throne to your side.
    You place me down
    in lowly positions.
Its fine that you don’t acknowledge me at court.

  10. The auxiliary pressed forward, the march had been set and the cannons would need to be set in place upon the outer cliffs. The vanguard had done their job but pushed too much in their haste, costing this army a terrible blow. Should we get to the cliffs in time, we could upset this war and finally conquer the fertile mountain regions.

  11. I work in music, so I hear this term a fair bit, however many people just blindly use it, as if every cable is an auxiliary cable. The distinction is quite hilarious, as some very normal cords have been given weird names by some people.

  12. Auxiliary, being extra, is a rather depressed little fellow. He’s always the odd man out, the fifth wheel, that one guy on the edge of the action that nobody’s quite sure if he should be here or why he’s here at the first place. He’s just extra baggage, and he knows it.

  14. My my one word, aren’t we strange with the words lately?

Music is auxiliary to me. It provides assistance and support both emotionally and creatively. Though I am not a musician, I am clearly a writer and music is wonderful for inspiration. The very idea of music is something to write about.

  15. Because of our cell phones and its auxiliary source of information there is no need to ever say “I don’t know” anymore. Our span of knowledge extends only as far as we trained it. Our cell phones now have the capability to curtail our limited knowledge by immediately accessing the internet to solve most unanswered questions. This is by no means praising the cell phone. There are caveats to having a cell phone at all times, but for the most part if you are sensibly using your cell phone there is no limit to what you can learn at a daily basis, any where in the world.

  16. I think I’ve heard this word being used in the phrase “auxiliary verb”. I don’t actually know what it means and will probably google it afterwards. But looking at the word… it looks pretty. If it didn’t mean anything weird, I would name someone after it. It does sound like a name, doesn’t it?

  17. I have enough auxiliary in my room for abnout twenty people and I am going to spread it out. I am going to spread it out until i be known as the human being with a outstanding amount of auxiliary . I will have my name next to it in the dick-ton-ary. I will have people saying AJ ” auxiliary” loopy!

  18. Auxiliary; the last time i visited one was to see my disabled aunt for the first time. It was the first time I ever felt like we ever connected in my 21 years of living – before that, whenever her and I associated, it was simply criticism from her and unresponsiveness from me.

  19. i don’t remmeber the meaning of auxilary. i’ve come across it for sure but yet, what do i write about if i can’t even place the word?? time’s running and i haven’t even started :P. God someone help me.

  20. Most often misspelling is auxillary…this makes a database junkie go crazy!

  21. The Women’s Auxiliary is an organization that is antiquated these days. It’s politically incorrect and factually incorrect. With women serving in the armed forces in greater numbers, their spouses are not anxious to be a part of a women’s club.

  23. Auxiliary- Help, assist and one of the things that this world needs most. Why is it sooo hard to find proper auxiliary in a time that we most need it? Is selfishness a part of our human nature?? Yes to most people but we do have those selfless people that constantly give us hope :)

  24. “Do you have the auxiliary controls?”
    “The What?”
    “The auxiliary controls”
“How am I supposed to know? I don’t even know what auxiliary even means.”

  25. The hotel he’d chosen was worth the money. Nicely decorated, the amenities were also well thought and well placed. For instance, the inclusion of a Bose sound system. The iPod plugged into an auxiliary jack meant my favorite love-making playlist would make the scene complete. Once the lights were dimmed, Sade began her sultry siren song. I adore sex this way… In a darkened hotel room, AC cranked, fresh linens, room service and a maid.

  26. The auxiliary port was empty. Where the fuck is my iPod? My car had been broken into. Again. Jesus Christ, every time you turn your back there are goons checking your car doors and taking anything they can to sell for drug money, I guess. Beautiful neighbourhood but you can’t trust anything. How sad.

  27. Honestly, me being a math person think of auxiliary lines. An auxiliary line is a line that bisects an angle. I took geometry this year and boy are they annoying.

  28. I’ll be honest, I have no clue what this means, but it sounds quite intellectual, which if used, will make me sound good. So I will write this in an auxiliary manner, and hope that that was the correct use of such a clever word.

  31. “Who are you?” Alex growled, eyeing the trio of men in the doorway.
“We’re the Auxiliary. We’re here to clean up your mess,” says the shortest one with a smile so wide and superior that Alex nearly storms over and punches him in the face. “A last resort.”
“Yeah, well. We’ll see about that.”

  32. Two vowels, one consonant, a vowel, consonant, two vowels again, another consonant, and a vowel. A well rounded, balanced word.

  33. I don’t know much about auxiliaries, I’m not even entirely sure I know what it means! I believe it has something to do with cars or power outputs. Maybe the latter now I think about it! Maybe I need to google it…

    by Rhi on 07.14.2012
  34. I don’t really know exactly what it means and I don’t think I’ve ever used it in conversation. Maybe on day I will figure all that out.

  35. “Bring in the auxiliary forces!” The captain shouted.
I lowered my gun and glanced behind me. Men streamed out into the open, carrying weapons and covered in protective gear. In front of me lay the wreckage of my now-dead unit. I was the last one standing.
Someone grabbed the back of my vest and pulled me to the ground, covering me with their body as gunshots sounded and bullets flew, biting into flesh and dirt and stone and metal.

  36. To be honest, I don’t really know what this word means. I mean, how would I. I’m only twelve years old and haven’t swallowed a dictionary in the last year so, hey ho, the whole writing about ‘auxiliary’ ain’t gonna happen girlfriend. Sorry, got a little sassy there.

    by Lennie Morris on 07.14.2012
  37. The auxiliary individual in the office did not agree. “That’s unfair and biased,” he told his manager, frowning and sinking into his chair. “I don’t give a fuck what you think!” the woman screamed in anger. It was her time now, and she’d be damned if she’d let some stupid man mess it up.

    by Kaye Scott on 07.14.2012
  38. I work as an auxiliary college teacher. This means I earn less money and have less benefits. This is ot a word I am happy to see.

    by Dorit on 07.14.2012
  39. The auxiliary valve was not responding as it was supposed to. Nobody knew what it was supposed to do but everybody knew it wasn’t doing it. That was when we decided to take the only action that made any sense. Each of us looked to the other unsure of who would carry out the act. Nobody seemed willing so I shouldered the burden and began bashing the valve.

    by M.J. Hutchison on 07.14.2012
