“Back to basics” is a commonly echoed phrase, particularly in, well, everything. The fashion industry uses it most prominently. “This collection goes back to basics by doing x y and z.” Who cares?
If we as humans were to go back to “basics,” we’d be running around forests, without words and with utter savagery. Lord of the Flies is not an appealing life for me.
It came down to one basic fact; I need to drink blood. And it has to be live, human blood. All of the new, politically correct vampire stories would have you believe that we can drink pig’s blood, or blood that has been donated to a blood bank. We can’t. We can only take it one way, and that’s fresh from the vein. Of course, that has its downsides too. In basic terms, that means one thing; we drink the blood, and whatever is in the blood. That could include drugs and alcohol, but more importantly for us, the HIV virus. We were immortal until that came along.

There is nothing basic about writing about one word. There is so much you could say about it. I mean where do you even begin. I would start by saying say basically that this whole exercise is a great tool to practice brainstorming
