What the hell kind of a word is bitten if you’re not willing to write about vampires? I was bitten by the love bug? The girl was bitten by a rattler on her way through the meadow? It just doesn’t work.
“Twice bitten..”. What is that old saying? I can’t remember. But I am feeling really aware of something that feels like a gift. Like I have landed somewhere I have been aiming for. Like i am arriving in my own life. Finally awake to the creation of my desire. He’s all in one package.
When I was young I was bitten by a very dangerous spider. My mother took me to the hospital. Fortunately everything turned out to be fine, but ever since every time I see a spider a feel a chill in my neck!
One of the reasons why I have always been so averse of dogs is that I’m scared to death of being bitten. Especially when I’ve poured out my affections and given them my most endearments and they would turn on me and bite the hand that pet them…It’s what kept me from approaching and only admiring from afar.
it was still cold and a little red
the marks on the side of his thigh
where i had bruised last night but
couldn’t stop. i know he doesn’t mind–
keeps it as his secret–my claim on
him.
I’ve been bitten by the help bug. There is no way around it. That is just who I am. When one of my children need me, I go or do or whatever. I have been bitten by the mom bug, need I say more.
I could remember when it had happened. My aunt had bought a new dog when I was about 8 years old, and I really loved dogs. But this dog, she didn’t particularly like people, and she was terrified of me, now matter how I tried to calm her down. After about two weeks with my aunt, she finally made her feelings about me very clear by biting me, hard in the forearm. After that, I never went near her.
what does it mean to be bitten in the back? … perhaps by someone you really trusted, somebody.. whom you once used to rely and depend on.
Maybe, it’s not what they did… but what they didn’t do.
here, thinking that they would forever be right there beside you, ready to catch you when you fall… yet, they’ve let you down and left you all alone when you needed them the most. Left you… BITTEN in the cold
Once bitten twice shy. Once bitten twice shy. Fucking mosquitoes, I’ll show you shy. Slap!
I wish I wasn’t out here tonight, didn’t have to hide in this god forsaken bush while I listen to everything that’s happening inside the house but I don’t dare go back in cause if I do I know what will happen and I don’t want that again.
When something is bitten, it might hurt, or it might turn in to this odd sexual feeling of, you know, masochism. Animals bite, but humans bite too. Because, really, animals are humans just wrapped up in this neat package called skin. We all bite, and we’ve all been bitten. What? WHAT AM I DOING? Blarghhhhhhh this is so silly. Theoretically with this ‘finish your last sentence’ idea I could just keep writing forever and ever.
Unfortunately, a werewolf seems to have bitten me. Oh well. Things like this don’t happen every day. I guess I’ll just put it on my list of top 3 worst moments… Every cloud…
juices flowed over my skin. Warmth dripped down my chin. My thirst dulled as i sucked the precious liquid from the fruit. Sweet, sticky, thick. It paralleled the air around me. the bugs buzzed and the humidity pressed closer to me as i threw the fruit carcass to the dusty ground. I slung my back pack up over my shoulder and continued down the never ending trail.
With a bitten tone of voice, Alex turned to her brother. “You can’t do that!” He simply smirked at her.
“Watch me,” he challenged. He took a long stride past her and into the alley.
I was bitten… Was I bitten? By what? I can feel the toxin seeping through my veins, scorching tissues as it spread. I can feel the prick of two needle-like fangs inside my skin. My head is foggy. Seconds stretch into minutes stretch into hours. I decide to look down; maybe I’ll have a chance if I can get rid of the snake. I look down to see, not a snake, but my own hand. Holding a needle to my skin. What have I done?
I’m not sure I’d be cracked up for immortality. I have enough difficulty with a mortal life. Immortal doesn’t mean rich and comfortable. That might be more appealing. Possibly. But having to live off others’ blood? No. It might be ok sometimes, but to HAVE to live off that? Ew. Not interested. And sunlight and stakes seem like an awful way to go.
Bitten. It is the satisfying crunch when I bite into an apple. The fact that I was bitten by a ants while standing on an ant hill looking at the stars. It is a little thing. The best thing.
Bitten by desire she was. Not desire for earthly pleasures. Or things of the present. Bitten in hopes of the future. Everything leads to what will follow. What will come.
He kissed my neck and instantly I knew love had bitten me. I looked into his eyes and sparks flew as he smiled at me and my heart warmed with his embrace.
I’ve been bitten by surprise.
Two weeks. It wasn’t supposed to come for another two weeks. And this morning, as I saw the signs, I told myself it wasn’t true. It can’t be true.
I was bitten ….
Bitten by the bug
the sex bug.
It’s not what you think, I swear, no naughty bugs…. or cooties…the sex bug
makes me want to sex sex sex you up
“I swear, Jen, I’m never coming back here again!” They continued to walk through the forest towards their cabins. “Cone on, it isn’t that bad, this is fun!”. “Seriously? I’ve been bitten by a hundred mosquitos already, and it’s only the second day.
Bitten with love, sadness, anger. Bitten by emotions that rush through you, sad and happy. Bitten by periods of utter incapability, utter despair. Bitten by rushes of happiness and absolute joy. Bitten by those around you, infected by their emotions. Bitten.
sometimes I get bitten. not in that stupid vampire obsession teeny bopper sense where girls fall all over, completely absorbed with idiotic hollywood stars. but i have been bitten, many a times. and when every time my mum notices, she yells and yells for about two minutes. i laugh and shrug it off. i can’t help it if that’s what others want to do to me in the moment. i like to be bitten, i like to bite.
sometimes she bites me. i like when she bites me, i like the marks of her being so obvious that they can be seen upon my skin. i like for people to know that i am hers, and that she is mine.

It came from the sky
With black wings and red fangs,
Pierced the flesh near my heart
Took hold of my life,
And squeezed the juice
Into its chalice.
