  2. Once bitten by a love bug, now I’m starting to feel its poison. That devious little monster is just a fantastical phantasm. It hides underneath the guise of another, preying on its victims with ease and grace. Leaving all our hearts broken, in disgrace.

  3. The snake stared at me calmly, as if it hadn’t just bitten me moments before. I couldn’t fathom why it hadn’t attacked again. I tried to hold it’s unblinking gaze, but my vision was getting fuzzy. Maybe if I just laid my head down to rest for a moment it’d go away. As everything went black I realized why the snake hadn’t bitten me again. It knew I was already dead.

  6. Sin was a foreign concept to Angel…or at least it used to be before she was bitten. The demon’s eyes had glowed with a sick kind of triumph as he sank his razor sharp fangs into her arm. The wound that resulted refused to heal; it was a greenish-purple in color and oozed evil. The venom that had entered Angel’s bloodstream from the demon’s teeth murdered her innocence and strangled her beauty. Jealousy, selfishness, hatred…Angel felt them all for the first time, the sudden attack of her soul leaving her breathless…and utterly defenseless against the evil consuming her. Her eyes, once full of kindness and forgiveness, darkened with bitterness. Her hands clenched into fists and her usual smile was replaced with a merciless smirk. Angel was an angel no longer.

  7. I knew that it would happen. It always did. It’s always been a cycle, but I continue to let myself fall under the same routines, month after month, heartbreak after heartbreak, time that’s faded in the back of my mind, and instead I was bitten. Back stabbed. It just came back to haunt me. There’s nothing I can do anymore. I can’t let go, but it comes back it bites me in the ass. I know it’s going to happen, but from each similar experience, there’s always something new I learn. New perspectives, new outlooks on certain situations, and I will just take it all in.

  8. There’s not one single thing in this house of horror that I could give to you that would be whole, that would be without a piece missing. It’s as if everything has been bitten.

  9. When one takes it upon them self to be a jackass and one bites them in response causing them to be bitten. Moral of the story… don’t be a jackass.

  10. By a person? Never. By a cat? Of course. I love her anyway, though; how could you not love a cat? She’s been taught by an inexperienced mother, a tween at least, but she hasn’t grown up too bad. I didn’t know before if I would miss her when she will die, but now I think I know I will.

  12. For a second, I stood there watching the dog, growling, right at my face. I couldn’t move, for I was frozen with fear. Suddenly, from a distance, I see a man. Holding a gun ready to shoot, he screams, “Back Away!” I couldn’t. I couldn’t at all. The dog was my friend, yet my enemy. What would I do? What should I do?

  13. Well. when I was little, i wanted to pet my dog SO bad, and so then, i tried to touch him while he was eating and so he accidently bit my finger and so I started crying. My mom rushed me into our house and we put so alchohol ( the medicine ) and put bandaids on it. In fact, I actually got bit by a shark once. It was a minor shark. It was called the tiger shark. It bit me and I started bleeding. So then, I got rushed to the hospital and I found out I broke my arm. Those are probably the only two times I got bitten besides when I got bitten by my evil cousin.. he was wanting the YoYo back and like, I wouldn’t give it back, so I decided I wouldn’t give it back and he got mad and he started yelling at me from the top of his screaming lungs, and so he bit my neck and I finally gave it back.

  16. for there i stood, looking off into the distance unaware of the scenery around me. something was wrong, the are chilled me to the bone, as if it had bitten me. i can;t explain the turmoil that i feel and the lack of control. it’s as if you were to drop from the world and into a jail cell with endless possibilities. lost is the cruel word that i would use to explain what i’m feeling. i can’t hold, i can’t touch, i can’t love, i can’t express. i’m just there; being…what? i’m not sure, but i don’t enjoy the feeling or the situation. sometimes i don’t want to love, but right now, i’m longing for it. i need to love and the touch of her. the closeness of them. the compassion that they provide. i can’t let go but that’s not my goal anymore, it’s to survive this crash and this hellacious feeling of lack of control. another drink would simply lead me further down the rabbit’s hole, cascading with thoughts and dreams, all real and blasphemous at the same time.

  25. “I’m dying!”

    “You’re not dying.”

I was cradling her in my arms, grasping at her wrist with feeble fingers. The two large puncture wounds from the now dead rattlesnake were already beginning to turn purple.

“I’m going to die!” she wailed, the tears beginning to swell up the backs of her eyes.

I clung to her and buried my face in her hair, waiting for help.

  30. Her bitten red lips
Look more tempting than any snake
Favored apple as cliche and worn as
It sounds. The white of her skin is
That of a thousand stories’s description
    Of snow and lovely purity,
And the black of her hair is blacker than coal or night
    Or raven’s wings.

  33. I was bitten by the most terrible thing. Hearbreak. I’ve been bitten many times, and you’d think that I’d know the signs or would at least be prepared to revolutionize myself in some way to ward off the threat. It’s just that when people are telling me one thing, I tend to believe it. Chad Stone broke my heart this time. I thought we were recociling our relationship, but he started sleeping with someone else during the process.

  34. (it’s okay,
    i don’t-
    i don’t need–
    kisses
    from anyone.)

    i don’t have much
    confidence in anything.
my lips are always swollen, bitten
    bloody
to the gums of my teeth.

    healing does not last
gripping the torn edges of my skin
cut clean and merciless and with
    no reason at all.

    (it’s okay,
    i like
    the quiet-
    i lick my wounds
    alone.)

  35. I was bitten at the age of five. From then on things became…interesting. I never quite knew when I would ‘go away’ at any given moment. Things would seem perfectly alright and then the next thing I know I would wake up in another town, with another name, living with people who I couldn’t remember. It was unsettling to say the least, but it’s true when they say you can get used to anything. I didn’t even realize how ODD it all was until I met her.

  36. He had bitten her. He left a mark, and it would make her skin imperfect. That f—ing dog! Now, now, now, now he won’t like me, he’ll see think I look messed up, oh god no-
