A braid can be limitless-as long as your hair is long enough. Each braid is different; short braids, long braids, brown braids, blonde braids, black braids, messy braids, straight braids, bad braids, good braids, French braids, Dutch braids, simple braids, and complex braids. Even braids on the same head can be different. They are fun to make, nice to have, and easy to do. Just grab a hair tie, brush, and learn how to make one!

Its the long, pleated thing at the back of your head. The thing your mom used to do before school every day when you was 8. The thing that posh girls like to do one sided before their morning college class. I love that thing, so simple, so classy.

As i stared at the hanging braid, i thought back to the classroom:

the teacher droned on and on about things that never made sense. so what could i do? i yanked her braid.

then she yanked mine- starting our never ending prank war…

Last night I braided my hair. My hair is very straight, very brown, and very beautiful (or so I’ve been told). My friends have been begging me to braid it for weeks, and I finally gave in! So last night, after dinner, I sat down with my little sister and we braided each other’s hair together! It was so much fun! We had a great time, and now we’re gonna get into a routine of braiding each other’s hair every wednesday night!

Yeah, so braids. I have taken to wearing braids recently, because they make my hair easier to deal with. When I wear a braid and then take it out, my hair is still curly but more manageable than otherwise. They have this staid, respectable look, but I’m not really shooting for that when I wear one. It’s just a temporary state in order to make my hair curly but not messy. Like many things in life, braids are a means to an end. Like Stuyvesant is a means to a good college is a means to happiness?

braid. a braid. braids. two braids… yet they say it’s about the brains, not the braids. For me it something more than that. It shows prestine-ness. Its not a word. But oh well. You get my flow. I prefer braids over the standard of relaxed hair.
