Lucy and mark went to a fancy little coffe shop downtown to have brunch one day. It was the best French toast shed ever eaten. The shop had an antique feel and was cozy in a sense. After that day, they made it a tradition to go at the same time every Monday.

every time I think about Brunch I think about an English Countryside. However, I’ve never been to an English countryside. I’ve always just lived in Loveland, Colorado. It’s sad, really, that I’ve never been to an English Countryside, I have so many fond memories of them. I guess that’s what movies and books are for. Manufacting memories of English countrysides.
This is something that brings back memories of being connected. You can have brunch the morning after awkward conversation then blooms into whole hearted discussion. You tell them of your family, your dog, the irritating traits that your sister possesses and how didn’t feel loved as a child. They tell you of endeavours with their brother, touching the outlet that was in their room, resulting in a small jolt of electricity and excitement. Tolerance to pain is what he’s developed over the years and it’s made him hard. You think of your family, encounters that were happy and wholesome indulging in food that made you bloated and pleased at being so. You think of love, and completeness, you never think of frailty, being lonesome, or being without. Brunch is love, and totality. I never have brunch anymore. There’s no one to have brunch with anymore. Brunch is a still frame of my past.
I had brunch with Karen yesterday. She was late as usual. She sat down, ordered a mimosa, complained about parking, and proceeded to spend the next 10 minutes on her cell phone talking to someone else. Why do I still see her again?

I’ve never really been a breakfast person. I’m a brunch kind of girl–I wake up hungry, but that’s never before ten. So by the time I make my food, it’s either brunch or lunch, depending on the time and the actual food.
