  1. When I was younger, my friends always talked about going to camp, I never went to camp. Well, I went once and it sucked. No sexual experiences, no silly late night talks or nothing, just kids being stupid.

  2. Im going to a student life camp ths summer. Im kinda nervous because ive never been to a sleep-away camp type thing before. Everyone tells me itll be really fun though. I sure do hope so.

  3. The cub scouts huddled around the camp fire as the flames danced in the evening light. Arkala was telling them a ghost story. The wind rustled the leaves above their heads, and a distant howl echoed through the air.
“What’s that?” whispered Sam to the boy next to him.
“I dunno,” replied the boy as they both moved a little closer to each other.

  4. I hope that this summer brings lost of lemonade, glue, sticks, bugs, laughing, screaming, doctor dodge ball, dancing, singing, and water balloon fights. Camp rocks.

  5. I love camp so much. I went to work at a camp for the first time last summer, and it was the experience of a lifetime. I love camping in general, though, too. The Kumbaya Campout that I went on with my Girl Scout troop for 6 years was by far the best thing that I’ve ever done. It was such a life changing experience for me, and I met so many amazing people that I’m still friends with today. I can’t imagine NOT going camping ever. I love being outdoors, enjoying nature in its most simple form. I love being so connected with people while being so disconnected form the outside world. I can’t wait to go camping again soon!

  7. too many memories to record so i will muse about how great things always happened around a camp. you learn new things and become a man, you learn that girls like guys better with no hat on and you feel embarrassed because you have hat hair… but she still dances with you there by the fire, under the moonlight, dirty streaks on your clothes, a leaf in her hair.

  8. i went camping once….in my cousins’ backyard!! i got to sleep at one of the tent sides, and guess what? It rained that night. i got all wet. I also wrote a children’s book for my 8th grade English class about a bear that got lost on a camping trip

  9. I hated going to 4-H Camp. It was hot. I missed my mom. I couldn’t find a swim buddy. I think I spent the entire week in the cabin. I tried to fake sick so my mom would come and pick me up. That didn’t work. I toughed it out, but I never went back.

  10. I’ve been to camp so many times. Well, it wasn’t camp. It was CTY. It was always those academic camps that you spent your summer learning stuff. I never went to normal kid camp. That’s the person I was. That’s the person I am. That’s the person I’ll always be. I’ll always go to the thing that’s better for my future. Camp was never just camp. I had a damn good time at “camp,” though.

  11. jill and i were once at camp dearborn and i was hiding in a tent yelling “dinosaur” at some random boys that walked by. I also had a boyfriend that was in 5th grade when i was in 7th or 8th grade haha i went to real life farm day camp

  12. The morning sun came up over the hills in the east. The mist on the river hung on for it’s last breath. The dogs began to stir. Up came the eldest woman, shuffled to the hot coals, turned them over with a well worn stick and began a small fire, with some water to boil. A baby cries, for just a moment. Another woman comes out into the cool morning air, tying the babe to her back. The sun hits the elder woman’s face, another day has come.

  13. I never thought this type of thing would happen again. We sat, hudled together, more for assurance than warmth. There was another monster and we were all trapped in our prison.
Sammy hopped off the top bunk
“Yar! Fellow campers scared yet?” he shouted.

  14. one summer i went to a ski camp. i still remember the feeling of gliding over the waves, so gracefully, so effortlessly, in a way so intimatly. at first i wasnt very good, then i learned the rythem of my body, and let myself go.

  15. It was summer camp. She didn’t know what to expect. She had never been to summer camp before. So as she was dropped off she looked over her shoulder in a final farewell to her parents, picked up her bags and moved on. No place to start like the present right? Who knew what this camp entailed. She just hoped that it wouldn’t be like “Holes” where she had to fend off yellowspotted lizards and dig a 5×5 hole everyday.

  16. Camp? It’s something that crazy parents do to drive their kids INSANE! Personally I can handle it to a certain degree.. But if I can’t go potty, then I’m in hell. I WILL NOT PEE IN A BUSH! I AM A GIRL >:O

  17. I went to camp when I was thirteen or fourteen, my dad made me go. It was a christian camp. Other kids knew him as a minister. I was so embarrassed. I kept quiet alot for the first bit, but I ended up meeting two other misfits. Jo jo and bo bo. The time became much better and I ended up having fun.

  18. A camp by the lake with a blue sky and a wharf with and old wooden motorboat tied up to it. It smelled of old gas and oil. He wore his grandfathers coat and it smelled of pipe smoke and happy secure days that glowed like sunset in his memory.

  19. When i was younger I went to girlscout camp. I had fun because it had to do with horses but my horse wouldn’t obey. I also became scared when i learned that prisoners escaped through the valley of the camp. I wanted to go home and did. On the way home my borhter engraved his coke cap on my arm and left a scar. That was bad. Hmmmm.

  21. I only went to camp once. And that was because everyone went. Or rather got to go. I loved it. Gote and I got in trouble for wandering off in the woods. I was so sad when we had to leave. I still think of the song they sang on the day we departed. That was so long ago.

  22. i cant wait til its summer, i get to go to camp! jumping in the lake, making smores by the fire. this summer is going to be a blast. maybe ill get my first kiss behind my lodge

  23. Camp? I never went to camp. That’s not true. I did, but I never went to overnight camp, just day camp. To me, camp is quite different. It’s the home base during a camping trip. It is my home. It is safe there. Friends and food and tents are there, beds and streams where you wash your clothes with natural soaps and sing.

  24. My dad still sets up camp like he did when he was an Eagle Scout. He would be angry about that sentence. According to him “once an Eagle Scout, always an Eagle Scout.” He defends this position vigorously. When we camp we cannot wear our day clothes to bed and there is no using paper to get the fire going- he once started a fire using only one match in the rain to get his fire badge, he tells us.

  25. It was in camp when I became myself
    All my friends were there.

    The whispering of the trees
    Light of the Moon
    Littered stars

    They all were there.

  26. This one time…at band camp. Ha. Not really. I’ve never been to band camp. Never been to any camp. And I kinda regret that. Like, a lot. I mean, what kind of kid doesn’t go to camp. Really? Wtf? So lame. Shameful really.

  27. I havte camp. It get on my nerves. The way that it wants to be with the fires and the tents. I don’t get the idea. Who wants to be outside all night in the cold.

  28. camp is a place where kids go to supposdly have fun but its not, for parents who send their kids off somewhere while they work just to set food on the table, camp is strict for kids and not fun at all like they say it is.

  29. When I remember my time at camp, I remember the filthy little cots they forced us to sleep on. I recall thinking all the councilors got fancy beds that were so comfy. I longed for those beds. I wished I had one now at home. But, instead, I had to bring home the cot.

  30. The campgrounds smelled of cheap wine and lousy cigarettes. I pulled her to my lap and played in her hair, whispering all the while about the different ways I would put her to bed as we enjoyed the gentle night breeze.

  31. Camp is something I’ve never experienced. This gurl Kat says we shoudl camp together, but I don’t want to, because she’s a girl, and girls are not cool. THey are not cool because they do not have swag. Girls and camps scare me.

  32. I went to camp and it was really fun. I met people there that i never thought i would have a relationship with. It’s funny how camp is always so gross and hot and sweaty. That’s the reason that I don’t like camp, but other than that, i think it’s pretty fun. Camp is about having fun and fellowshipping with me and that’s what I plan to do next camp:)

  35. Camp is a place where parents send their children to go during summer. It is a sort of summer school for those rich kids that are too smart to go to summer school. My parents never sent me away so I don’t have those awful memories of living in a cabin in the wilderness.

  36. When I was little, I just remember our camoing trips. Whatever bad might have been going on in my home life, camping trips were always amazing. I remember going to bed at night and not being able to fall asleep, like it was Christmas Eve or something. I remember getting up really early, and waiting for uncle richard and aunt diane’s rv to come rolling in the driveway, and all of the rest of my

  37. I remember camping when I was little. I started playing with my cousins and getting my knees skinned in the dirt from riding bikes. But once I grew up I just wanted to find boys to make out with. Kinda sad. I wish I could stay little.

  40. The forest is a beautiful place. The trees. The flowers. The animals. The air. They’re all apart of what makes it extraordinary.
In my sleeping bag I can feel the essence of the forest. When everything’s quiet that’s when true life comes out.
