  5. I walked through the halls, surveying the daily situation.
Girls who think they’re women squawk at each other from hundreds of feet away.
Boys who think they’re men pick on each other.
I don’t know how this behavior still amazes me.
    It’s like a carnival.
    An
    every
    day
    carnival.

  9. The carnival was in town. It supposed to be one of the funniest times of the year, but all I feel is despair. Is it the jovial spirt all around me? Or is the depressing mood I find myself in on this sad day?

  17. The lights of the carnival were lit brightly, instilling in me an excitement of what was to come. The show, the adrenaline, the ‘magic’ in the air from all of the festivities inside. I couldn’t wait to walk through those doors and see what was inside.

  18. the carnival is the best place ever, i like the carnival. It brings joy to sad clowns.

  19. Carnival. Fun, no doubt but risky in our age. Children snatched and never seen again, rides , and clowns…dreded clowns, with their big smiles and oversized shoes. Its just not worth therisk going to a carnival these days. I’d say more but I’m out of time. Colors, shapes, I think I’ll stay home. If only the carnival could come to me. Then, onlythen, would I accept this life as my own…now I’m just rambling. 60 seconds is a long time to fill talking about a carnival. Don’t even think

  22. I’ve always wanted to replicate all of the romantic scenes in the old and new movies, where a girl wears a skirt and curls in her hair and the boy buys balloons and wins a stuffed animal in hopes of winning her heart. The ferris wheel seals the deal.

  23. The flashing lights rose above the small rural town. Everyone knew what was happening, the carnival had begun. Tonight everyone in the small town would pay the small fee to go to the carnival that set up in the small community once a year.

  26. Venezia in winter, when people with masks walk through the fog. Sometimes its loud. But most of all its the veil of mystery, that is laying over it.
I hear the water splashing rhythmically against the stones.

  27. I love it, it was the best thing that could have happen to me in a long time. I had the chance to visit the carnival held in Bridgetown to celebrate the begin of the festival season.

  28. The rides were bobbing and spinning, the smells of food, oil, and the occasional vomit was purvasive. He was in a carnival again. it raised the excitement level.

  29. Carnival. The festival in Brazil. The biggest party in the world, or so it says in Rio (the movie).

There are also town carnivals, school carnivals, and normal carnivals with rides you can go on.

  30. carnival? well i’d love to go to Rio for one, for sure. i only know small-scale festivals, so it would be fantastic to see what people call a carnival. when? when would be the right time? i know i have to carve it out!

  31. For a moment at the top of the Ferris wheel when we could see everything, the glowing space of the carnival and the red tops of the tents. We swung back and forth and you held my hand even though I never once told you I was afraid. You hadn’t looked at me then, you were looking off at the glow of the carousel and the light caught your face. You smelled like funnel cake and sweat and the sweet summer night. I was too busy watching you to hear your words properly. “I’m ending my engagement.” Is what you had said. Then you looked at me. “I’m ending it for you.”

  32. It is almost time for carnival! How exciting that is going to be – the parties, the street dancing, the mummers! Everything is so bright and shining for that time!

    by on 02.14.2012
  33. The ferris wheel spun like crazy. Lights flashed and so did the stars in the night sky. Kids screamed and workers smiled. The marry-go-round played soft music. The carnival was very fun!

  34. Fun, wonderful smells, all sorts of people on a hot summer night until the lights go out.

  35. He didn’t want to go to the carnival. We had fought about it for an hour. I was convinced it would be good for him though. So here we were, at the carnival. I’m not sure what came over me. He wasn’t ready. I should have known that. It really doesn’t help that he’s so much faster than I am. Right now here could be anywhere in the area, he took off so fast it was hard to keep track of him through the crowd.

  36. There was a carnival in town, it was bright and loud and shook up our tiny corner of the world. No one had ever seen such beauty or such excitement before. it was as if the carnival was a window to a whole new world no one could have ever imagined.

  37. The carnival… a place for joy and laughter, even if sometimes I picture carnivals to be a little more 3 dimensional than that, if’fn you know what I mean. In fact, I’m pretty sure the last time I was at a “carnival” (rather, something that “resembled” a carnival) it felt more like a place for sorrow and tears. Damn those Ferris Wheels: nearly a perfect metaphor for the circle of life… and all its ups and downs, I suppose?

    Well, that was random.

I picture carnivals to look pretty cool in my head, though (flashy red lights and stuff).

  38. The bright lights cast a glow on his face like she had never seen before. Pulling herself away from the warmth of his arms she took one long look, drinking him before turning and running away. Laughter on her lips and arms wide open, she embraced the night.

  39. Carnival of Errors. That was the name of the place, believe it or not. And it was quite the popular carnival, too. A carnival that celebrated failure. Above all, it was a place that everyone could relate to. People felt welcome at the Carnival of Errors. They felt accepted and above all, they felt as if they belonged.

  40. i want to go the carnival.
i want to ride all the rides and forget that i don’t have the money.
i want to eat all the friend sweet foods and forget that i’m fat as the cows in the petting zoo.
i want to feel like a kid.
i want things to be simple.
