  13. I think that when someone is in charge of a situation, it is needles to say that I am never wanted to be that person. However, at the end, I always end up being the one responsible for everything, is that a good sign or a bad one?

  16. I wanted it all back. That night was pure shit while I was living it, but afterward, I wished for a repeat. I sat alone, my heart beating unimaginably fast. I waited for the beats to slow, but as more thoughts charged in, it was unstoppable. I hated feeling so vulnerable to my involuntary actions, but some small, sick part of me liked it.

  21. I’ve noticed that whenever you are nearing the climax of a conversation, that’s when your phone decides to plummet to 10% of it’s battery life. CHARGE! We all need a little portable phone charger to tack on the back of our phones to avoid situations like that…

  24. She all but charged at me at the end of the hall. I could see her feet pumping, little shoes stomping, running fast to momma. She was still getting used to longer legs and she almost fell with each step, but it was not in vain. Soon, she was in my arms, with love and cuddles, cries of “I missed you, Momma.” Even though she had only been at the babysitter’s for an hour.
    But before I knew it, it was just a memory again and I was left curled up on my bed, grasping for air, trying to feel her sticky fingers tugging at my shirt. Trying to pretend that she was there for ever.

  26. I watched silently as the doe snuck into the clearing. I coiled, waiting for a chance to pounce. The doe bent it’s neck to graze and I took my cue. I leapt from my hiding place, charging into the clearing. In a spray of blood I swiped my claws through it’s neck, and spent the rest of the night enjoying my well earned meal.

  28. When I am with him I am unclear of who is in charge. It should be simple because he was born with that role, but I am stubborn and like to be treated equally. I like to have a free will and be able to come and go as I please. He likes to be in charge to protect me but I don’t have it, I’m difficult.

  31. Like in marching band, that one year, when all the brass played the notes, and the rest of the band yelled, “CHARGE” and everyone thought it was so funny. Well, the adults, anyway. Because of the credit card joke. And the buses. I always remember the marching band buses when we went on trips, and the smell of the exhaust. Even here, in South Korea, years later, I smell exhaust and still think of those trips.
