The white sheaves of paper buzzed through his fingers as he thumbed each page, sparing the lines of text along each plane a cursory glance. Once he’d ensured that everything was in order with elegant speed and accuracy, he tapped the clipboard twice against his desk and threw himself back in the wide, leather armchair.
