  2. The handbag, or the leader. Both can lead to wrongness. Both can have superficial, misguided truths about the world. The truth is you are always your own coach since only you can direct your own actions.

  3. The whistle blew in a fit of rage
And I was called off the field
For the rest of the game,
Just for doing what was expected of me.
    I blindly followed orders,
And now the kid might never be able to walk again,
The blood poured from his knee socket,
And I smiled knowing I had done my job.
I had won us the game!
It still wouldn’t be enough for us to win the series,
    but hey,
    We won the game!

  4. The coach threw the little girl in the water to help her learn how to swim but he was arrested because the girl had no arms and no legs, so how could she possibly learn to swim? It’s ridiculous. He clearly wasn’t thinking. He’ll have plenty of time to think over his mistakes in prison.

  7. Sometimes I wish I had a life coach. Or that I would be a good life coach. It’s easy to tell people what they should do, and easy to identify what other people should do, objectively. Much easier than knowing what you should do or what you should choose. You can easily pick the right decision and see the results, when it might not be so easy to do in your own life.

  9. A coach and six if you were cinderella would take you to the ball, but you are snow white and they are taking you home to your stepmother. If she had sent poisoned apples and stays, you would have kept the door locked; but she sent a coach, and you, princess you are, went outside to speak to the men, and were lost then. Politeness was always your downfall.

  10. You never did anything” Rius said, tears beginning to track down his cheeks. He wiped them furiously, contorting his cheeks into pudgy blobs with violent rubs of his arm. “I know you don’t want to involve me in this, but guess what. I’m all you’ve got. And as I hate to say this. You’re all I’ve got. Sister or not.”

  11. Rhymes with roach, which reminds me of OSU. There was a room in the basement of my residence hall that the janitors used as their lounge. When you turned on the lights, your first reaction was shock because the cockroaches would scuttle away from the light, and then your second reaction was disgust because you saw all the dead cockroaches on the ground.

  12. I have coach boots that I wear to the greenhouse where I work. I wear them because they keep my feet dry when it’s rainy or when Jon’s been watering. Not for a fashion statement. He came up to me today and told me that he has coach boots too. I looked down. He had just written “coach” in permanent marker with sloppy handwriting on his work boots.

  13. Stop the coach, he ordered. The driver ignored him. Traffic was light and the bus was loaded. Passengers began to fidget. The man who ordered the stop became more insistent. He rose from his seat and approached the driver. The lady behind the driver gasped and began to cry.

An achingly familiar, but difficult realization that you have no idea whatsoever what you’re doing.

  21. The coaches at my school are kind of jerks. They don’t let a lot of people onto varsity that deserve it. They don’t appreciate the real talent. They have favorites. And they recognize them in gym class too. It’s kind of annoying. I wish I did sports though, just to get in good with them. And kind of make them a friend or a mentor. It’d be nice.

  22. Vivienne was coaching the little boy. His little feet were scampering hither and tither, and like an ant he was running across the feet, hitting the soccer ball every so often, and giggling when doing so. It was a pleasing and warm sight to see, and Vivienne could not help but laugh alongside young Adam’s chirpy giggles.

She had been sick for a very long time, and we had just celebrated the start of my new job in the hospital, having snuck in a bottle of champagne. We enjoy soccer all because of our coach. he knows how to place players and when to change players over to get the best out of the team. he is appreciative and acknowledges good effort. The gravel was smashed into the ground underneath the coach’s wheels as we came to an abrupt stop. The door swung open with a creak, I blindly reached my hand out into the darkness. Only to find his, the calluses that I knew so well brushing over my skin as he assisted me down onto the gravel to my new home.

Olympics in idiot-witness-survival? No… I’m telling you karma, this psycho-magnet you’ve got taped in my forehead is giving me more of a headache than wisdom.
