Maria felt entirely disconnected in her new home. This strange new town was so small that everyone knew everyone… but her. They all looked at her like she was an alien. She wasn’t one of them, that was for sure. Would she ever really be connected in this strange new place? Would the people accept her for who she was, even though she didn’t fit their unusual mold? Maria sighed, staring at the blank canvas in front of her, and splashed on a dab of a golden hue. She knew perfectly well that this town was populated with very sensible, people with their feet planted firmly in the agrarian dirt. How would they react to a dreamer, an artist?
i used to feel connected to the world, the people in my life, everything around me. now i feel like i’d rather choose those connections carefully. i don’t want to be randomly connected anymore, i want more meaning in my connections. it’s lonely, because you lose a lot of them, but the ones that remain mean so much more.
to someone in loving nature. through sex. umbilical chord. gives feeling of life. gives life. completion and fulfillment. who doesnt want to feel connected? its why we wake up in the morning.
They say they have a “connection with god”. They say I’m missing out but all I see is freedom for me and imprisonment for them. So, I think I’ll take my detached life joyfully.
Get connected to your friends, your family, your life.
Get connected they said, but my terminal is broken.
I keep sending these messages into the void.
Little data-packet bottles floating in the sea of human interaction,
Of viral videos of monkeys dancing in the street.
Somehow we’re all connected. Maybe freedom would be if we weren’t connected to anywhere or anyone but in that case we would be the saddest person in the world
i am connected to the earth to my family, to my friends and to everyone around me. i am connected my mother as if i was a chunk taken from her side and watered to grow like a flower in her garden. she cared for me, nurtured me, made feel safe, strong and as though i was capable of anything. i know how;s she’s feeling without being around her and she knows the same for me.
I suppose this ought to refer to close relations, the feeling of connectedness I have with my daughters who love miles away. But my first thought was about technology – phones, the internet, the means of connection rather than the feeling that it engenders. May need to think about that.
we are all connected by a common curiosity, to increase the understanding of ourselves, each other and our surroundings. the more connected we are the more distanced we become from each other. so heres to the good old written word. cheers!
We are always connected. We’re connected through our phones, our email, facebook, twitter, myspace. I kind of hate that. It feels good to be disconnected, the few times that we actually are. peaceful. disconnect yourself once in a while. free yourself.
And when people feel connected, nothing can stop them. In this world, there is no connection between anything. There lies no connection between people and nature, rhyme or reason, the mind or the heart. Everything can stop us, and it will.
i feel so connected to some people. connection is what brings us together in the end, doesn’t matter how. and the weird thing is that sometimes you connect to really strange people, people you’d never think you’d get along with. but that’s the mystery of it all i suppose… crazy isn’t it? now the worse part is when you really connect with someone and they fuck you over. but i love connections anyways.
You are engraved on my heart. I feel a connection with you no matter what. Even when I am so frustrated with you, I can’t help but still want to be around you. It is one of the most confusing things, but not as confusing as you.
a friendship is a connection, as well as every type of relationship. you feel connected with someone if they have common thoughts and beliefs. in order to have a strong bond, connection is key. if you feel connected to things then you feel more comfortable around them.
connected makes me think of the internet, and people, and sex, and condoms, and stds, and pervesion, and boys, and girls, and love, and beauty, and flowers, and colour, and interiors, and claustrophobia, and breathing, and asthma, and smoking, and pipes, and water. its all connected.
:)
I see you, smell you and feel the the warmth radiated from your body through evaporated sweat and floating skin particles. We are certainly connected, my friend. Now, tell me no one sees you and you may be right, but there is no way to physically ignore your presence.
My school, bucknell is really cool because it has a great alumni association that allowas me to be connected with people from my school and get jkobs/opportunities. I like to stay onnected and keep up with what is new, which is why i love my computer. connections hopefully will help my music career someday
i feel super connected to the world around me, i write for magazines, write for myself, listen, and think. I do everything I can to stay connected. Also – that song from the 80′s “connected” that is now stuck in my head. Thank you for that.
Is it possible to disconnect? We are confined by the chains of society. Why does everyone always want to know what we’re doing??? Twitter, facebook, cellphones…Freedom. I will free myself. Forget.about.me.
it’s usually used as in connection to something.. but to me it seems more like in relationships.. it’s the hardest thing for a mature man to do.. but once it’s succeeded. you are happy forever.
He considered the difference between feeling whole with someone and feeling connected to them. How can you quantify those two emotions? Do you want to be more yourself with someone, or do you want to feel like they are a part of you? A part of who you are at your very core.
helps you stay connected. like facebook. taking over the world. connected. like at birth. simease twins, sergically removed and scarred forever. man that would stink. connected. like we connected last night when we both showed our scars. “thats deep man” they would say, and we connected.
you’re nnot connected to the internet. you are not connected to the world, you’re wiring is wrong. the blue and the red wires went in the wrong places, now you’re just plain weird. its not your fault, but its not our either.
I am connected to Dylan because every time we touch its like electricity is flowing through us. I’m not really like that with anyone else, well I haven’t really tried. I can think of someone that it might work with though. I need to test it out.
i don’t really feel connected, not really no. i’m wondering if i ever really did? what was it with those bonds, those strings that kept people attached to oneanother? those things that i didn’t really know i could feel until i faced the reflections in other people’s mirrors and saw the lack of my own.
together with strong bonds means love. to feel part of something bigger than yourself and to feel happiness and strength from those around you. happiness.
With all this social networking, it seems like everyone is connected. I talk to my best friends every day on Facebook and Skype. I’m updated on my friends’ lives via Twitter, so it feels like I never miss a beat. But sometimes I wish I had the courage to just pick up the phone and dial…
I love being connected to people, the world, my family, my friends. It’s the most important thing to people I think; to be connected, to feel that we are not alone on the planet. Today that connection has dwindled to wall posts on facebook, likes on our statuses, pokes back and forth…. is that all we need? Have we adapted that we need less connection? or are we just lazy? Do my friends know how important they are to me with just a comment on their picture, do they understand that they make my world, they make my life worth living? I need more than just a quick message. I need a hug, a kiss, the chance to see their face. But how will they know if all I do is give them a poke?
Myriad of wires, bright lights blinking under his fingers. Every node, every circuit feeling infinitely more connected than his own meager veins and heart, than the inadequate tendons of his real arm.
She had never felt more connected to him than in that moment. He had pledged his love to her so wholeheartedly, she was finally convinced he loved her as much as she loved him.
together… happy. to be connected means to have friends, to have people you can talk to.. it also can mean that you have people who are going to help you find a job or a good place to spend you life… connect you into a good place to be… or you can connect other people to other people.
To be connected means to be linked to another someone, or something in one way or another. I am connected to life. to my family, to my love, to my child. I am connected by thoughts & actions & feelings.
“Hey, I’m Sam.” I shook hands with the new kid that had just entered out class today. I know what it’s like to be the new kid, so not fun. I wanted to give him a sort of….connection feeling. As soon as out hands shook, we were connected.
connected.. I would like to connected to my father in heaven always. A connection of his spirit and mine.. where i would be able to know what pleases him, his will, what he wants from me.

To be one with someone. To feel something. To be a part of something bigger, something smaller… something important, drab or dull. To belong.
An integral piece of some sort of puzzle or machine. To matter.
