  1. so I always wondered why my parents never showed up to any childhood experiences. now I see it more of: my dad’s an introvert. to the extent. and my moms connected. she knows people. she *always* travels out of town, and is actually in DC as we speak, getting connected with some big dogs up there. sometimes I wish my mom was the normal mom and showed up to all those things that were important to me at one time…

  2. It was strange, living the way she did after everything had happened. She went to the same school, spoke to the same people, and continued on with the same lessons as she always did. But things were different. The connection she felt to her own life was no longer there.

Would she ever feel the same way again….? She couldn’t help but wonder that. Couldn’t help but know for a fact her life could never return to the way it was.

She didn’t think she wanted it to, anyway.

  3. We are so unconnected these days. With advancing technology we just get out of it. The things that are suppose to make us closer are tearing us apart these days. Nothing like a hand written letter or a personal visit, just over computer or cell phones. We need to truly be connected again. But alas, there’s little we can do in these changing times. Nothing, in fact, will change this retched path we take. Let’s go backwards! Get connected. Write a letter, visit a friend. Hell, cancel your plans and just get back to it. Everything is so distant, whether you feel close or not, we separate ourselves through gigabytes. Make your own memories.
