  4. The console was smoking, and that certainly wasn’t right. Jon had only been gone a minute, and she’d done exactly what he’d said – X to hit, ∆ for magic, square for big hit, circle to open chests…

And now the screen was fuzzy and sparking infusing the smoking has to be a very, very bad sign.

Tammy twisted her hands nervously and hoped the PS2 wasn’t broken forever.

Three simple words to turn my world upside down and make me believe that everything will truly. “I’ll always listen.”

  6. the more you think about the more you realize that as a friend this is all you do. you are the person that can get your friends through the most. you are the one that is there for them. you are the one consoling and loving them. so where are they when you need them? when you need to be the vulnerable one? when you need to be the one in pain? why are they never there to get you through the things that cause you the most pain?

  7. You were there to console me when I needed you. You stayed up talking to me until I fell asleep on your comforting words. I fell in love with you that night. You haven’t talked to me about it since. You look at me like you know how I feel, but now you are scared that I am too weak to be in love. Like the guy who consoled me that night will suddenly turn bad and hurt me. Was it a mistake for you to console me that night? Did I fall too soon for a boy who would never love me back?

  8. leather bound,
    reddish brown,
    luster all around,
    slick and cool,
    just like old school,
    dash bright,
    gages and toggles,
    blinking lights,
    music cranked,
    head banging,
    I think tanked.

I think I am a good friend, good sister but there’s always room to grow and be a better person. And so while I do my best to try and console I know I can always do better.

This console, much like any other console, brought my older brother and I together as young kids even when we weren’t friends. I thank that game console, however, as it brings fond memories for both of us now as best friends. Console, a work of art.

  18. the console before me was a strange thing indeed. it was green and blue with little round plastic red edges that protruded on either side. the console didn’t have a name for i had just invented it, it was my dream my console, my world. so what should i name this odd device. maybe something that goes with what it does for no man has ever seen soemthing like this before it was new and it was going to make me millions.

  19. He lined up the console. Ready to kick some zombie ass. It was a nice way to spend the night. First mindlessly killing zombies then later switching to go on an epic kill streak, it was the only thing he did anymore. He sat in the cold dark basement, the plasma screen brightly glowing from its place on the wall. And he didn’t think at all.

  20. I want to console him when he’s sad. Catch him when he falls. He’s a beautiful person who deserves to be loved. I want to console him when he’s hurt. I want to hug him when he needs me. He’s a beautiful person who deserves to be loved. I need him to console me when I’m sad. I need him to hug me when I need it. I’m a beautiful person who deserves to be loved.

  28. There were nights where, my mind being so far away, needed someones love
To light my day, yet wait I did, till noon and dusk once more
And no such consoling was sent my way,
So next moonshine when you feel as if you’re led astray
I shall not come to your rescue, neither night nor day

  29. It’s hard to console one who’s butt has been impaled by their car’s console. Just so you know, I’ve never had that happen to me, but I saw it once in a porno movie.

  30. Th screen was brightly lit and hurting my eyes. I pushed it away from me, and reclined in my seat. My dad was out and there was nothing stopping me from taking over his good chair… I got out of my seat just as the game informed me that I’d leveled up. Level 134… Great, I thought. Just 265 more to go.

  33. She wants me to console her, but, predictably, I have no idea what to say. Her eyes are beating into mine, searching – almost pleading – and, in response, my mouth hangs open. Gaping. Waiting with her for consolidation to come out. Nothing. I look down at her, pet her head, and take her hand into mine, knowing that that consolidation is about the only one I can offer.

  36. hmmm, whether to console her best friend in times of need, or whether she’d left her car keys on the console table in the hall. Either way it was a tough day for decisions. Something was just holding her back, but she just couldn’t decide which was easier for her right now.

  38. The console is forgotten. It’s a place to put extra, discarded things we’re too distracted to actually place somewhere. It’s really pretty important, it’s a home for all the items we don’t care enough about to put somewhere.

    by Lauren on 05.10.2011

The phone lay limp in her hand, as the pain of her voice at the other end of the 2800 mile line reduced her to monosyllabic replies.
“So I guess this is goodbye then,” the voice said.
Her heart pounded in her chest, tears blinking in her eyes. It took all her energy to keep her voice from wavering.
    “Okay.”
