His hair was a shining shade of coral. At seventeen I found him to be the most important thing in my life. I will never forget how his hair dried into curls after coming out of the ocean. On a good day his coral hair would be wrapped in sea coral still moving.
I love the color but I like the coral that is in the sea better. It reminds me of home, in Naples, Florida. The smell of the salty but fresh water. Unfortunately I hate the mist though it frizzes my hair. If only I could be back.

Coral, are you sure you want to write a story about stupid mistakes? really, who cares? we only want to hear about grand successes so that we can all feel like we could never attain such success being the inconsequential beings that we are. If you write about mistakes, for god’s sake, we might relate!
reefs in australia, coral is hard and living and gigantic and covers miles and miles. It is a leaving breathing part of the earth’s ocean ecosystems and integral to life in the aquatic deep.
THIS REMINDS ME OF THE SEA AND WHEN WE WENT SNORKLINGN IN MEXICO AND I WAS IMPRARRSED TO WEAR A SWIMSUIT SO I WORE A HUGE TYE DYED TEE SHIRT OVER IT. I REMEMBER SO MUCH SALT WATER AND ALL THE BEUATIFUL FISH EVERYWERE.
like little beautiful shells lying on a beach with the sunsetting over the ocean like at camp but expect not because its a lake not an ocean. but still beautiful as ever expessially on honors night.
the sea was rippling and had a smell of fresh salt whispering in the air. The waves lapped gracefully and lazily against the side of the boat. My lover climbed the steps into the deck where I lay. our affair was beautiful, sweet, and short.
Coral? Like the reef? Sinking ships to build them habitats! As if. Where is MY habitat? Where is MY reef? So many children wander around without reefs of their own… and some of us worry about the coral. And the coral worriers think ill of US!
coral is beautiful. Is it pink? How many colors can it be? I imagine it to be delicate, but I believe it is actually jagged and dead. Such conflicting ideas between romantic and realistic. It’s a pretty, lilting word, but in reality, it describes something sharp and unfriendly.
coral is a beautiful color..or so i thought. I picked a coral dress for my junior prom dress and my date hated it. As soon as he saw me he stuck his nose up to the color. He had already been aggravated because coral is a hard color to find for tuxes i guess!
That certain shade of pink always reminded him of her. Coral, she called it. The shoes she left one by one on the floor by his bed, that lipstick, even that one special pair of underpants. All that same cursed color.
coral reefs are a beautiful site. Not sure if i have seen one but those cartoons make them so. if a carton can showcase nature with strong emphasis on coral reefs then they have to be beautiful. i can’t remember wgich cartoon did it but i
I was swimming through the coral reef the other day when I came round to a squid’s apartment. He invited me in and we had a bit of tea as we discussed how the ocean was, the daily news, his favorite baseball team and whatnot. He was a very nice squid and made fantastic tea.
well i saw coral in the ocean when i was as little kid and ive seen coral on tv before and in movies people usually get coral stuck in some part of their bodies. like in forgetting sarah marshall when russel brand got coral stuck in him and the other guy had to pull it out and it gushed blood everywhere. and now that i think about it i havent ever physically seen coral in the ocean because ive never dived where there was coral around. so its weird that the first thing i say is that ive seen it in the ocean. thats weird, im probably so used to seeing it all on my HD tv that i feel like ive swam around it and touched it like all the divers on tv have. its really pretty though with all of the different colors and pretty animals living in it. it’s quite amazing to see on tv so i guess its even more amazing to actually see it in real life as i someday hope to do.
Her breath is coming in quick bursts, the sound of a steam engine pushing along the tracks. I watch her as she searches the room, finds me and closes her eyes. I don’t want to watch her die. It cements the absence of her. I need her to be alive in my mind. I walk out of the room and as I do, I hear her words, “I will remember, Coral.” I start to cry.
She was coloured like coral. Untied shoes and messy hair, come here she said. Like we stand a chance until tomorrow. It will all come back tomorrow. You’ll see. Coloured like coral we’ll all be.
tHIS IS WHAT MY MOM FINDS AS A LUCKY STONE. mOM LIKE THE RED COLOURED ONES. aCTUALLLY THEY ARE NOT RED AS CHERRY RED, BUT A LITTLE LIGHER FORM OF IT. Coral always reminds me of my mom and I like it.
Corals are the best things given to us by the oceans. They are formed by some special kinds of sea plants and sea fish. The sea fish which lives in the corals are beautiful with wonderful colors.
The color of an orange cream Popsicle. You painted the bedroom the color of a sour sweet rich cool dessert. You spread the color of dusk dying into a pleasant candlelight dinner waking to the glowing embrace of morning from wall to wall. You let small flecks of it dry in your chestnut hair, like the campfires of nomads seen from orbit.
One of my favorite colors is coral. Or the color of the inside of a mango. It reminds me of warmth and sunshine and feeling pretty good about things. If you want to feel better fast put on a coral shirt.
coral. i haven’t been in a beach in the longest time. it’s weird because being filipino you’d think that we’d live in beaches but i guess i’m one of those filipinos that just loves living in the city. manila is as far to a beach as anywhere. the city is overcrowded, we have more malls than streets, and every other person you know has a smoking or driving problem.
Coral. Beauty little things underwater. It reminds me of a voluptuous mermaid with a seashell pinned against her hair. Just sitting there. On the stunning coral reefs.
i have no idea what to write. coral.. hmm. it’s white and it’s found in australia. anything else? lets see. they are pretty hard, and oh oh the time is about to run out. dammit.

She feels it rather than sees it, the fresh sting along her shin as she swims back in, flippers in hand.
On the beach she winces as she runs her hands over the welted skin – coral ingrained, shining in the sun. It’ll take an age to pull the pieces out.

blue beyond in liquid silence. waves crash and erode the living landscape. time marches on, leaving a thousand tiny footprints on the hearts of fish.

i can’t swim.
and i jumped.
it was a little bit like love.
the rush. the fall.
and silence. nothing but silence
and bubbles and fish among coral.
the kind of silence that is deafening,
in a beautiful kind of way
