  1. I picked up my towel, which had fallen to the ground, feeling dreadfully exposed and uncomfortable. I really only felt happy completely covered, so what had possessed me to come to a naturist colony? it was all Cynthia’s fault. I would think of an elegant revenge in the fullness of time, but for now I had to concentrate on getting out of this ridiculous situation. Where was Cyn, anyway? Hiding in our chalet, no doubt. Wretched girl! I decided to compromise on the nudity thing, and fastened the towel around my waist.

  2. i thought that i had my writing in a style that i liked and was comfortable with. i basically just sit down and write whatever comes to mind. most of the time the thoughts flow pretty cohesively and i manage to get my point across with a smile. well, i recently started online college and i had to write a paper, well, let me tell you, my writing style is far from what is expected of college folk and i haven’t any of my grammatical bases covered. i’m just exposed.

  3. Not much more than anything I’ve ever had in bed. Not much less than anything I’ve ever wanted. I have a blanket made out of a sleeping bag and some stolen sheets. That is my new life and I feel now.

  4. Ice covered the streets and you covered your eyes as I covered quick ground headlong to reach you. The places in ourselves that had been covered from view sprang open as I hit the ground hard and uncovered a skull and a bare glimpse of gray matter; your distaste for me was uncovered as you turned on your heel and strode briskly away.

  5. I covered my eyes and hoped that it was just an illusion. But it wasn’t. The reality was there in front of me. I could see the thing that I feared would happen. I knew he liked her but the reality of how deep it was always escaped me. What can I do with my feelings now?

  6. We laid there. Covered in blankets and the leaves that fell from the trees above. I looked up at you. You looked up at the stars.
    I bit my lip.
That’s when I knew. I knew that you would never love me as much as I loved you.
The blankets we were covered in felt like a straight jacket of sadness as I tried to get up and leave. But I couldn’t.

  11. She covered his body with a flower print sheet, smiling slightly through her tears at the silliness of it. He hated flower print. It was why she’d bought it. The thought sent a fresh wave of sorrow through her which she quickly staunched with the anger that was just as strong. how dare they do this! She had worked for htem for years, been a faithful cog in their little system, and now they had come into HER home and destroyed her life. Destroyed everything.

  12. He layed there covered. Completely. Not just physically; because he was. His perfectly sculpted torso covered by the thin white sheet that was shielding my sight from his imperfectly tanned stomach. But this sheet covered much more than his physique. It covered him from being completely exposed.

  20. Without a stage to perform on
    No curtain to prepare behind,
It was his eyes, tepid, that needed
To be seen to be believed –
Nothing else mattered, he was covered
By a sense of shame, like a tired old man
With secrets in his chest, that leaned
    On his shoulder

  32. Covered completely by blankets and sheets, there was no way that an intruder would see me if he broke into my room. Clearly America’s Most Wanted did a number on my imagination, as any night that stirred in the house would cause me such horror that I would breathe out of a small hole that was in my impromptu fort of quilts.
