374 Entries for “crane”

  1. I was watching out the window again, this time at the sun rising above the mountain range in the distance. The Abbey was nestled deep within a beautiful and quite remote valley, filled with all sorts of natural wonders like trees and rivers and springs, and the animals here were quite varied in species too.

For instance, on that beautiful early morning at dawn, a crane flew past me so close that I swore I could feel the draft of her wings against my skin. I pulled my knees up to my chin and smiled into my pajama pants, just happy to have witnessed it.

  2. The crane came down in a harsh arc and scooped Steven’s car into the night air. It was just like in his dream. There had to be a reason these things kept attacking.

  4. Cranes, like paper. Origami. Chinese. Fold a thousand and you’r given a wish….or so they say. They as in the Chinese. So fold them. Pet ’em. Feed ’em if you wish. Not the paper ones. Real ones. In a lake somewhere…or maybe a pond…

  5. The crane lighted on a rock about a hundred feet from our boat. “Will you fly with me, Amy?” he asked. “Will you come with me someday?”

  6. A crane kick? Really? A crane kick? That’s the unstoppable move. A take down. A counter punch. Waiting. All of these would have stopped the crane kick. But it worked. Damn it worked.

  7. I crane my neck to see what is in front of me. Normally, I’m not this nosy, but from the serious, stoic looks on the face of the people surrounding the scene, I can tell it’s not something good and it’s getting the best of me. I’m nervous, already feeling a heavy weight in my stomach, though I doubt I’d even know the person. As I drive to the side to offer help, I pray to God that the people are alright. I walk over to the scene and see an older man lying on the pavement. Gasping, tears glisten in my eyes as I see who it is. All I can utter is a weak “daddy!”

  8. Cranes are beautiful birds. Or weird “karate” moves that kids make up. It’s interesting. And fun to say. There’s not really much to write about, because it doesn’t interest me that much. But I do enjoy saying it. So I think I’ll just BS the rest of this as I repeat “crane” over and over. Ok, thanks. Bye <3.

  12. Crane. This reminds me of an episode of SpongeBob. Skill Crane. My favorite part is when Squidward tries to pick up his remote, but he can’t because he views his hand as the crane. And he sucks at grabbing things with the crane machine. So, instead he uses his eye and gets hurt. :]

  14. A beautiful bird, from which its characteristics I may not recall. Crane also sounds like the supporter Dr. House uses to aid in his walking, that reminds me of Dr. Cuddy, did she ended with House? Gosh, I never see t.v.

  15. Cranes. While I was growing up, I saw them everywhere. I spent most of my childhood around building constructions, as my city was still young, building up to be what it is now.

  16. The crane stood in the field, one of many, but he was special, unique, he knew something the others didn’t. He knew a secret and was alone with the knowledge. Sometimes he wished he didn’t know, sometimes he wished he was just like the others, just so he had someone to talk to.

  17. Crane. Orange. Tall. A symbol of the majestic wonder that man created for himself, and a reflection of the questions he never meant to ask. A hulk of metal, yes. A hulk of intent? Hardly.

  18. It flew as if had no sense of direction. It was dazed, lost. It had no consciousness, the mind a papa crane, the body of a live one.

  19. Crane was new to living on his own. He needed to capture a prey so he could prove to himself that living off the vegetation was his choice and not because he did not possess the skills to live carnivorously. He decided today was the day. He peered down from his post at the edge of his cliff over the crystal waters of his homely lake. It was there he spotted a golden and blue hued carp sparkling beneath the sun-kissed blue-green waters. He knew that this was the fish he’d been waiting for. With a breath of air, and not a second thought, he launched himself over the edge and plunged towards the lake. Instinct kicked in just seconds after the plunge. He steadied himself over the lake as he dipped his beak slightly in the crisp waters. As if he had done this every day before the next, he retrieved the shimmering burst of scales. He directed himself back to his post. It was there he peered at his prize. The gold and blue shone in the glare of the sun. That was not all that shone. The glassy black bead at the head of the fish gazed back at him. It was then the crane noticed the despairing look in his foe’s eyes. It was then he knew that this accomplishment was not to be at a loss of another friend in nature. He then retrieved the fish into his mouth once more as he threw himself off the cliff over the waters and released it back in to its habitat.

Or is a crane the large building maker, the greatest tool created. Build buildings, build civilization or the corner stone of modern life, build the highest love of modernity.

  23. Once a crane appeared at my window and told me, “Look to the clouds and look for the small dots and grey wrapping paper.” Naturally, I thought this was strange and thought nothing of it, but I did look out into the clouds. I saw dots growing, enlarging towards the corners of my eyes. Grey wrapping paper stretching over the skies. I soon realised I was turning blind.

  25. i craned my neck trying to find the look in his face. i needed to see the face that was so beautiful, the face that made me wake up every morning, with a smile plastered on, in hopes that i would be able to see him, let alone talk to him. if only i could say a quick ‘hi.’ or a ‘wow, it’s hot out today.’ that would honestly be enough for me. i just wanted a simple little effect that somehow would spark my name into his beautiful mind. hes beautiful.

  29. he sat at the edge of the bog with his fluorescent stick legs poking through the grimy soggy mud bottom of the marsh. His orange beak scuttled along the surface of the water, looking haphazardly for minnows and waterbugs as the sun ticked slowly by in the azure sky.
