“sh-she can’t be dead.” i turn on my heels, the shards of the ornaments sticking into my bare feet. i ignore the pain and run away, tears blurring my vision, which causes me to knock into the refrigerator.
i wake up in the hospital later without remembering about the previous occurrence.

i went to the video store to buy decorations, turns out they don’t sell decorations there. who knew? so i continued on my way to the party store, and when i got there, i forgot what i was decorating for, so i left. the end.
She disagreed. Of course she did. She said I had no taste. She said that with those drapes, the place would look like a hospital room. And she was right.
The bunting is still hanging from the top of the shelf. It looks forlorn and tired. Martin would pull the decorations down but he did his back in reaching for the plug socket during the Jubilee coverage.
I turned the key gently and entered without a sound. Wow, I thought. Angus went all out. Balloons, streamers, baubles and bows. Even a pinata hanging from the flourescent bulb in the middle of the room. So much trouble for a party in my honor that I would not be attending.

Christmas, Halloween, Easter, or any holiday always requires decorations. They make me home feel homey, and my children love to help decorate. It gets us in the holiday mood :) Shopping for decoration post holiday is always fun too.

He shrugged, “It’s for our first holiday spent together in our new house,” and he hung it on the tree for me.
