He looks forward to unwrapping her and getting to the gift of her body and soul beneath the wrapping paper. I will hide away
    while my decorations lure

  8. Decorations are very fun and spark the brain. It is good to have visual representations of things you like as a constant in your day to day. Decorations by means of sound are also very soothing and motivational such as a fountain trickling

    by Matthew Black on 07.16.2012
  9. I love putting the christmas decorations on the tree, at the beginning of December. When I think of Christmas decorations it makes me think of a winter christmas, I guess because of all the movies I have watched over the years.

    by Pia on 07.16.2012
  10. i love decorations. they make me think of parties. parties are so fun. dollar tree has good decorations. better than family dollar. family dollar is boring and for life stuff like…can openers.

  11. who decided what decorations would represent different occasions i mean why are there balls for christmas trees. i mean why nothing else, why a ball and why do we just accept it. dont get me wrong decorations are great but theyre like anything else, we are told as children that this is this and that is that and for some reason we dont question it. i mean we all ask why? a million times as a child but we never really learn answers to things we just go with the flow. maybe its out of fear of what will happen, or what we will come to discover if we follow through with discovering the why of everything. i mean some decorations make sense, for instance pumpkins are an ideal fall decoration because they are harvested in the fall but others dont really make sense yet we accept them and we all know them without a question

  12. Decorations are used to cover up the dull, make something unexpectantly vivid and different. Decorations add color and a sense of adventure when surrounded with boredom. But we must be careful because decorations can also be used to hide what we choose not to see, shielding us from reality.

  13. It was always a special part of Christmas in my house. No tree was complete without being wrapped in beautiful white lights, and lights just weren’t right without a struggle. “Damn it, Roger, just go the other way!” “I’m trying, Laurie you need to turn it around, jeez!”

    by Savannah on 07.16.2012
  14. I think that doing this at a time when you are busy means that it is really tough to get things done. I have started on the wall paper and it is going well. But I get the feeling that when you start you do all the easy stuff first. I think that as time goes on things will get more and more difficult to do. I hope I am wrong. I have been doing a few different techniques to help get done.

  15. Decorations. They fill up my walls, trying to some how represent who I am. They’re squares of paper, of some sort of material. That’s all. How I expect them to represent me, to tell my lengthy, emotional, wreck of a story, I don’t know. So don’t ask me. Ask my decorations.

  16. The place was covered in decorations that didn’t make a whole lot of sense. There were black and white photographs of JFK and Ronald Reagan and what looked to be modern art in a corner and framed newspapers from the turn of the century.

  17. decorations remind me of christmas. they are shiny and fragile. they symobolize hoildays and happy times with family and firends. confetti. yeah they are pretty and you only see them on special occasions. they are beautiful. halloween easter 4th of july birthdays. they are unique and special. each family has there own decorations and traditions that come along with them. decorations are my favorite part of the holidays.

  18. Shiny garland and ornate mirrors reflected my disheveled appearance as I walked into the ornate house. Whoever decorated this house must have been from the 80’s, I thought as I gripped my boyfriend’s arm and walked inside hesitantly.

  19. Decorations flourish in the mind of an artist. Can it flourish in the night? Yes, all you need is a light, if you know what I mean. I’m talking about all kinds of things, including the green!

  20. They were all about the room, plastered in sad arrays to celebrate the aging and the dying and the wilting all around. The cats tore them down and batted them about the floor. The joy was magnetic.

  21. Decorations remind me of Christmas time. Some of my favorite things to do during Christmas are to decorate the tree in the millions of ornaments we have and to deck the house in all of our Christmas decorations. I’m kind of sad because I’m probably gonna miss that this year since I’m going off to college, but there’s not much I can really do about that.

  22. I really like using personal sketches, or things that friends gave me to decorate everything. It has to me cluttered and messy or I will go absolutely insane!

    by Madison on 07.16.2012
  23. Everything sparkled in the corner of my eye as I walked into the packed room. Who would have ever thought interior decorators had such tacky taste? I realized I would never fit into this family as I reluctantly grabbed my fiance’s arm and forced a smile.

    by Clair on 07.16.2012
  24. Decorations all around, while there is but one sound. Christmas day is so sad; she is reminded of her dad. She cries at night, wishing for his insight. He was all she had, and now he’s dead. Cries fill the halls as joy fills the air, Merry Christmas to Miss Blair.

  25. Decorations make things beautiful. They make things tacky. They make things unnatural. What’s wrong with being unnatural? Nothing. Decorations is the makeup insecure girls throw upon their face when they feel as if it is a necessity to “impress.” Decorations shouldn’t exist. They hide the real truth. But then again, how would life be without decorations? It would be dull. It would be boring and grey.

  26. Decorations cluttered the room, bringing the sullen, boring walls alive with celebration.
“Congratulations!” everyone cheered for the graduate, wishing her well in her future endeavors.

  28. It was Christmas and I was most excited about putting up the decorations. They don’t just jazz up the room; they also bring to mind memories. The star on the top of the tree isn’t just a star; it’s the day my brother and I fought. As sound as thay may sound, it wasn’t. He punched me in the face and then saw me cry more than I ever had before. It was then that he vowed never to hurt me again. That star is… Change.

    by Tatiana on 07.16.2012
  29. On the christmas tree. They shine and glisten on the day of celebration. A day of so much controversy. Even shining baubles are not immune from judgement. But does that stop them shining?

    by Mandi on 07.16.2012
  30. Decorations, decorations everywhere. The party wasnt to start for another hour or so, but we were more than prepared. Streamers, confetti, and everything in between.

    by Danielle on 07.16.2012
  31. I love decorations. Decorations are like little jewels. You can decorate your house during Christmas or Halloween. But my mom doesn’t like Halloween decorations. Perhaps it is because decorations are meant to be pretty and dainty little things. Christmas lights are far more pleasing to the eye than a witch or a goblin in front of one’s doorstep.

    by Catherine on 07.16.2012
  32. Decor is so fancy. people who do good decor are full of themselves I fail at this um ym um christmas decorations are tacky unless they are done in metallics and deep colors

    by Madison on 07.16.2012
  33. Lights hung around the room as the family laughed and sang. You could hear the happiness in their voices, enjoying the fresh smell of cinnamon brushing past their nostrils. It was then they knew the meaning of Christmas.

by TJ Van Buskirk on 07.16.2012
  34. I never put them up unless it’s to celebrate the holidays. Otherwise, my rooms are unadorned, plain. Walls bare and stark, with room for me to hand personal photos or posters but almost always remaining empty. Holiday decor is mandatory, ’tis all.

  35. I choose not to see. I understand the pragmatism, but I do not understand the need.

    by GeoGeo on 07.16.2012
  36. I only like certain decorations. I thoroughly dislike christmas decorations, and most decorations for other holidays. I like interior decorations and style. I think there is a difference.

    by Geo on 07.16.2012
  37. I love to use decorations around the house. It makes it look better and festive. Decorations such as statues, ornaments and flowers.

    by Keta on 07.16.2012
  38. She hung up the last of the decorations, hoping that her friends would like them. She doesn’t have a talent for decorating, she never did, but she prays that her friends will like how she decorated the room.

    by Kate on 07.16.2012
  39. She touched the scraps of paper that had dripped off the staircase. The dimmed lights that she couldn’t bear to turn completely off… The broken pieces of a party

  40. Decorations, decorations, decorations, all over the house each year for Christmass. But is that all there is to that? They do bring a certain magic to it thought.
There’s nothing quite as magical as just staring at the decorations each Christmass night.
