  1. The folder slammed down onto the director’s desk. “Why have you offered me a RELIGIOUS article?” the editor and director screamed into the young lady’s face.
“Because I believe everyone should know about Christ.” she stated simply. She knew she would lose her job for this. But it was worth it.

  2. I am the director. The play is ready. Where are the characters? Oh no. The show must go on.

  3. A man or woamn who is in the film industry, and direct actors and other people on the set.

    by Janne on 03.13.2013
  4. I am the director of my own life, with a wordless script in hand I venture through the unseen scenes trying always to see the light.

    by Gina on 03.13.2013
  5. Woody Allen. He is such a contrradiction, pshycopath, sociopath, the devil, and overall a simple human being. His directing of films are grand, I can say I’m a bit of a big fan. Irony and paradoxical is what life is about, althought this concept will never be shout. One learns within experience and knowledge, one can never get enough of life. That is why we all go through strife.

  6. The director of that movie was incredibly attractive.
He, or she, was the beauty itself.

I never actually got whether she loved me, or I loved him.

  7. The director looked at the scene, he had made up his mind and decided that he liked it, it was always a bit of a risk with these things. Lowry looked back at him nervously, the fiexed gaze always put him ill at ease, he took a breath and started to speak.

  8. The old man in that chair and cap, he’s unhappy with something someone did and is now throwing papers around to cause a scene. Things arent as bad as it seems, he does this because a lot of money went into this project and his title forces him to look busy.

  9. The suit, the tie, the briefcase. None of it was necessary any more. He stood there staring at the blank computer screen waiting…

  10. “NO!” again and again, the word was shouted. Always, a hint here or a nudge there, but never just explaining what he wanted. What was the problem with being clear? He wanted it to resonate with the actors, but how could it do so if it didn’t ever come together? Even the film crew was getting tired of filming the scene again and again.

  12. “I’ll demonstrate.”

The director came up to Annie and cradled her in his arms. She felt his hands, their dry papery grasp – warm and wild, yet tender at the same time. He took her chin and angled her, proceeding to kiss her passionately on her mouth. She could feel his mustache tickling her, tickling her fancy. All too soon, he pulled away. Annie knew she would never be able to pull this off with her co-actor.

“This is how you kiss someone, while leaving their lipstick intact.” Director remarked to the crew.

He was twice her age, ten times more remarkable – and infinitely far from her league. But Annie had already fallen in love.

  13. What are the essential qualities that a director must possess? One, he must be observant. HE must have a capacity to understand human behaviour, emotions and psychology. Also, he must have a high standard of humour because that reflects the kind of thinking that is necessary in order to make good movies.

  15. person who leads the company, who says what’s going on, makes the tough calls and the big decisions, they direct the flow of things whether it be issues of traffic, people, time, you name it and, chances are, they’ll be the ones who manage it and make sure it’s not only moving in the right direction but that it’s also moving at the right speed and in the most effective manner.

  16. I think directors are awesome. they are the soul of the whole production. i directed a couple of things before and it was an amazing experience, being able to control everything on set. :3 asdfghjkl;

  17. He was in full control. Wherever they went, he called the shots. She looked to him for direction in nearly every area of her life, and that was just fine with him. The made beautiful scenes together. Until one day, she met a man who told her she didn’t need a boss, she could direct her own story.

  18. the directors teeth shook with vigor at the prospect of control
    little people on strings dancing
there’s no hope left when these people rule
    and a smile so vile
    the thought alone terrifies
as do the bullets and fire
there’s not much left to do though
the film is already in motion

  20. The director called him into his office. He had no idea what to expect. Much less see his daughter waiting there, blouse unbuttoned, telling him in a very stern voice: “Sit down!”. Takes after her father, he thought.

  21. Clack, clack, clack. The lights flash, pulsing against a background of white-hot noise. The ladies and gentlemen come waltzing in, prepared to dance a minuet of pretending with cocktails of fantasy. Fall in love, fall out of love like picking petals on a rose. All at the director’s unfailing cue.

  22. Ah,a new title, Director! And a new promotion, and less travel, and a raise. Sounds good, right? But no, turns out it isn’t what I want, I miss the travel, I miss the client work, I like not traveling as much – time spent at home with the little one when everything changes every day is more important – – but it has taken the bloom off the rose.

  23. She was the director of her own life. The direction she walked in now was dangerous; but it had always be dangerous. She was a vampire; it couldn’t kill her to move through this mist. But it could kill Brenda.

    by Ashley on 03.13.2013
  24. It was her job, as artistic director, that I had wished to take someday. I would fill the chair with my inexperience, once I had moved on to another place, and became wise enough to do so. She was only five years older than me, already moving up from just teaching; and I had less than two years of experience as a student. How could I ever mature in enough time to chase my dream?

  25. The director of the circus is an old man and he is lonely. Acrobats burn out early, youth fades, and they leave to become cleaners and cashiers and undignified things. The director stays. Old and bellied, a caricature. A lonely man. The tigers roar.

    by tubatuba on 03.13.2013
  26. Director, directing, giving input and sharing vision, sometimes against all odds, with the masses behind him, and other times, most of the time with the masses stacked in a line of defense and restriction in-front of him/ her.

  27. The director walked down the road, looking for inspiration for his next play. Birds singing, but, no, not another musical. Cars driving past – he doesn’t feel like an action play… what shall he do a play about this time…?

    by Carna on 03.13.2013
  28. There’s a director in the farm. He’s there to film all the animals. Even the cow that stares and stares. I wonder though how the director can make the cow act. I believe it has to chew and the director wants to captu

  30. I always thought that the position of a director would be a job or position that I could handle well. I know that I have what it takes to deal with people and to resolve problems whenever there arise.

  31. Person that commands a movie and calls all the shots! Someone who is smart and has a sense of direction. Creative and sees things differently.

    by Maggie Fischer on 03.13.2013
  32. the director was short. he had a balding head and a green woollen vest over a carefully ironed white shirt. He was a quiet man who lived in a modest house with lots of books over looking a leafy lane, but when he was in his element he would strut around breathing energy into the set with a charismatic strut.

    by kelda on 03.13.2013
  33. “Advance”, he said. “Advance to the front.” I took a small step forward. We had walked out onto the stage and bunched together at the back under the glare of the spotlights awaiting instructions. The voice of the director sprang out of the dark immediately, making us jump. He must have known his reputation would intimidate us. Around me the other women flowed and assumed poses, plastering on their practice smiles. They seemed like clockwork mannequins or pulled puppets responding to invisible strings and yet all as graceful as swans.

  34. Am I the director of my life? I know deep down I am but it is certainly easier to believe this is all due to the Great Director … not me.

  39. The director of the circus. Crying, crazy people. I’m seeing him trying to hold the pieces together. Confusion. Who’s who, really? Who knows who’s the real director?
