  11. When I was younger, I wore so much eyeliner. Avril Lavigne had just become popular, making my life a little more complicated. I wanted to be her–be just like her. I remember her dark, dark makeup and I always tried to do the same. There are pictures from growing up where my eyes just look like little black holes, I wore so much: eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow, all of it. Layer upon layer. Painting myself to be like someone else.

  22. everyday, it’s applied like mathematics to my aesthetics, placing something strange and foreign into a relatable and useful day-to-day experience, so repeated that it’s constant. I’ve made Pascal’s wager, and maybe if I put on makeup enough times, my face will actually be that beautiful.

  23. The eyeliner was smeared around and trailing down her cheeks. She stared at him expectantly with misty eyes, but he could only stare back her with disgust-she looked monstrous like this. 24. Eyeliner, used by women to accentuate their natural sparkles. Used by many men on Halloween to give them the sexy pirate look. Johnny Depp has never been more appealing than when his hair was braided and his eyes were outlined with a rugged style of eyeliner. It is undoubtably an essential in the make up bag. Eyeliner makes your eyes pop, be it exaggerated and bold or subtle and pretty.
