  1. The people I work with are flakes. Not the fluffy white snowy kind, but rather of the fluffy white dandruffy variety.

    by patrick on 11.22.2010
  2. Flakes of corn flakes come down from the sky, blanketing the ground. We watch in wonder wondering why not Oat Bran, or Shredded Wheat. With trepidation, we eat, munching and crunching until daybreak.

  3. There are snow flakes, flakes who are chicks, and things in general that get quite flake-y, like skin (gross!) after you have been sunburnt.

I don’t really like any of the above flakes, to be honest. The only good flakes I can think of are Frosted Flakes, and even those aren’t that great. Snowflakes are great in theory, but in the womb of winter I hate them

    by Ashley on 11.22.2010
  4. Corn and snow. Dandruff. People. Flakey people. Lakes with an f. Raisins.

    by D on 11.22.2010
  5. Snow flakes!!!!!!!! Ahhh I love snow!!!! Snow’s the best thing EVER!!! (I sound like a 5year old… I promise I’m not..) But snow is amazing! It’s beautiful & the most beautiful thing about it is that no two flakes are exactly alike :) Pretty amazing.

  6. i think i already saw them hanging in the air like buttons. this is disgusting, like things that your body just leaves on the street, waiting for the next customer to come and degrade them. is it worth it?

    by aly on 11.22.2010

  8. Flakes. Snowflakes are small drops of frozen water, made in 32 degrees F or less. No two are alike.
Cornflakes are a really tasty cereal. I don’t know any more kinds of flakes.

    by Caleb on 11.22.2010
  9. She stood at the side door of the school staring out at the flakes and willing them to pile high on each other like acrobats. performers in a circus, or like inmates launching an escape.

    by nannan on 11.22.2010
  10. this is a test of how quickly i can physically type not thinking at alll typing any bullshit that comes into my head. Buttercups are yellow, aliens are invading, the world is round and columbus knew it. He did a trick with an egg or so they claim.

    by f.p.ramsey on 11.22.2010
  11. Flakes of dandruff peal away from the scalp of the old man. Nearly bald, his head is a patchwork of varing shades of pink and white. He sips his gin with a loud slurp and count the number of hairs on his hands

    by f.p.ramsey on 11.22.2010
  12. the flakes of winter, those beautiful microscopic wonders, the wish for kids all around the state, snow flakes. i know these wishes and yearning desires all to well and yet i have only been able to feast my eyes upon the joy of cold well flakes once. what makes them better than any other object that might have the ability to flake?

    by renata on 11.22.2010
  13. its too early for there to be snow flakes falling. and they can’t fall yet. i won’t let them. i’ll pick each and every one up, and put them in a plastic bag, and mail them back to the sky. its too early for snow flakes to be falling. they can’t fall unless i’m with you. it’s not their time yet.

    by Abby on 11.22.2010
  14. snow flakes. when in winter you go and it’s already father dark, it’s twilight (in winter nearly the whole day is twilight) and the sky is of a very strange colour, it is very deep blue, with no cloud or star on it ad the lights in the street are of some weird yellow colour and the snow flakes are falling, big and fluffy. and there’s no wind. and the streets are very silent. and you smell new year. and you eat a mandarin, trying to put its bits into your mouth as fast as possible cos it’s cold to leave your hand outside without a mitten or pocket for more than 2 seconds. this is winter in a dormitory area in moscow.

    by katerina on 11.22.2010
  15. Flakes of snow.
How cliche for me to mention them.
But there’s nothing cliche about how snow flakes kissed your red cheeks. They had courage but I didn’t. You laughed and worried about getting sick. I was speechless. I’m not brave. I’m not brave like the snow that dared make you blush.
But unlike the snow, I’d fall forever for you. Not just in winter time.

  16. Flakes falling down. Politely polished with white, as if frosted. Edible, but not that savory. Stale, but still satisfying. Slowly onto the metal and into my metal mouth. As if leaves being stepped on, I can hear it making it’s way to their destiny. My stomach. How I love them so.

    by Eddy Lazo on 11.22.2010
  17. Flakes. There’s so many different meanings to one word. Flakes could imply snowflakes or cornflakes or scalp flakes, as gross as it is to think about that. There are friends described as flakes who bail out on plans you had for weeks or there are flakes of gold that you can pan out of a river if you’re extremely lucky. Flakes, flakes, flakes.

  18. I couldn’t stand it. The rush was too much. I leapt from my proper seat by the window and tore through the house, bounding out the door and into the light blizzard-like air, the first flakes of winter. Before anyone could stop me I was shrieking and jumping for joy, childish giggles escaping my lips.

  19. I had cornflakes this morning. They’re GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEATTTTTTTTTT! Tony the Tiger sounds like the name of an incredulous robber. Jason has flakes in his hair. It’s gross. ewww now they’re on the table. OH god when will it end. Also, go go breakfast best meal of the day.

  20. Corn flakes are a delicious cereal covered in sugar and eaten was children aged 12. This sugary cereal is great to eat, especially with milk. Children who eat corn flakes will not be flaky people.

  21. the snow fell softly, breezy, almost inherently light with the wind of the night. Jessie ate her oatmeal, crunching the hard flakes in front of the windowsill. It was undercooked, and this frustrated her. She thought more about Desmond, and his science project. He’d made eggs seem so interesting, and she found herself wishing she had made an omelet instead. Oh well, there was always tomorrow!

    by EliEli on 11.22.2010
  23. I sat down for breakfast and cast a glance across the table. As per usual, the only thing my mother had set out were the cornflakes. No matter how many times I said it, she never seemed to grasp the idea that I couldn’t stand cornflakes. I pushed away from the table and walked over to the fridge to see if there was anything else besides those godforsaken cornflakes in this house.

  24. snow, it falls and sometimes it stings my face. Also, it makes good potatoes. I really wish it never happened on my head. Back to snow. I sometimes thought that snow was romantic, but I can’t stand that kind of romantic now. I think it’s commercial and not at all worthy to be called thus. It’s not the snow that’s romantic, it’s the person(s) you are with.

  25. They were like little flakes of gold, these sub days. The teacher used them sparingly and wisely. He never wasted one when he was actually sick. He would only use them when he needed a mental health day.

  29. Soft, silent, white, fluff
Falling from the dark night sky
    Crystals, sparkles, glitter, glam
All tumbling down to make the Earth shine

  31. When I think of flakes, I think of snow flakes. I think of a beautiful, snowy day, where everything is covered in the white fluff. I think of putting on a pair of snow boots, my coat, gloves, and a hat, and going outside to build a snowman and make snow angels. I also think of drinking hot chocolate while sitting by the fire.

    by Sarah Miller on 11.22.2010
  32. Flakes of snow are pretty, but flakes that come from people’s hair is gross. Cereal flakes are also gross. There is a town called Snowflake.
