  8. If only I were able to flee. To be rid of this life and be capable of starting completely over. To not be confined to the life that I have destined for me, the one that at one time I had chosen but now I feel captive by. Utterly closed in, locked into a place in which I am no longer happy. If only I could just go, and be someone completely new.

  9. the fleeing was unanimous Everyone agreed they should go, so why couldn’t i leave? What was holding me here? A unknown force, unlikely considering i haven’t addressed my feelings for him. So there’s that, go figure.

    I like it better in past tense; FLED is a much better word to write about. You don’t think ‘I must flee.’ You just remember doing it.

  11. I will flee from my enemies. Not the physical enemies but the more evasive ones like fear and lack of self-confidence I will run from them like a righteous man fleeing from temptation.

  14. I had to flee from Russia after my family decided I shouldn’t exist. After all, the politicians had agreed that homosexuals should be in the same category as unicorns, wizards, and Jedi. And as much as I would have appreciated being a Jedi at this point in time, it made no sense to stay within a household that now gave me the silent treatment whenever my younger cousins were around.

    I got to the airport to fly to England when lo and behold, I found my uncle and my cousin. My cousin was wearing a rainbow unicorn shirt.

    Seriously though, flee irritate your dogs so rid them of flees so they can live a scratch free life. :)

  40. The squirrel, poised at the head of the log, stares down at the dog. She’s stock still–holding, waiting for that perfect moment to strike. The sun shines down on them, one fleck of light just close enough to her eyes to blind her. The squirrel notices, and slowly moves back. The dog falls straight for the trap. She’s blinded in her left eye, and blinks just long enough for the squirrel to flee to safety.
    At least, until it begins this game again.
