    BAIN OF MY EXISTENCE!!!

I borrowed a flip mino HD recorder from a friend, hoping I could shoot some video with it for another friend. The only thing worse than bouncy video, is bouncy video in HD! It’s awful. It picks up every single movement with nauseating clarity. The picture is only clear if it’s on a tripod.

I tried several after-video stabilizing software applications. None did everything I needed. (How do some of these neglect to include a CROP feature??!)

As for hardware, steadicam handles cost too much, so I tried making some – Fail. There’s tutorials online but you need tools and a shop and a real hardware store for that.

    – OH! And I forgot to mention the part where the battery was so screwy it took me two days of messing with it to get the thing to hold a charge!

Anyway… I haven’t returned it yet. My friends don’t need it right now and maybe I’ll find a way to get ok results from it. So far though, epic fail. Which is upsetting because I thought a better camera might yield better results. …. Nope!

  8. One, two, three. Jump. Flipping and twisting in the air. Graceful like a bird. Letting gravity bring me down to the water. My body moves in flips and twists. Twirling releasing a spray of water. Falling. I can feel the suspense. Hitting the cool blue water. Coming back up for air. The crowd cheering. Time stands still as a flip. Like a single moment can seem like an hour. This is my freedom. This is my rush. Plummeting to earth flipping though the air.

  9. After running across the floor and springing into the air by thrusting my hands into the beam, I flipped head over heels, heels over hips, hips over knees, and crashed into the floor with a loud CRACK! from my neck.

  10. It does it every time you come near; your face 50 feet, two feet, straight in front of me. It does it every time you breathe; once in, twice in, thrice in my room. It does it every time you speak; the words on your lips like the meanings of peaks of the Earth I’m disguised in– my heart, it flips, it flips with your grin.

  11. Moving the mirror a little to the side, Jensen flipped an edge of the wallpaper. The paper had come undone because something had been stuffed behind it along one of the seams that the mirror covered. He reached in and pulled out a small folded note that had a red heart on it.

  14. Her hair hung over her shoulders. Prominent cheekbones and cherry stained lips. She had but one flaw; her flat nose. She was staring back at me through a glass silver reflection. I raised my hand toward the glass surface separating us. She too, lifted her hand to meet mine. Forever trapped in a mirror image. Flipped.

  15. Turning my world upside down. Just when you think your feet are planted firmly on the ground, rooted in reality, the world flips. Your brain flips. Suddenly, you ar eoff kilter. Crying for help. Will it come? Do you want it to?

  18. Sabes, estou perdida…

  20. Flip the bird. Why has this action caused me so much grief as of late? Seriously, kids point with that finger and it’s meaningless until some other kid comes along and tells them, “don’t do that. That’s swearing.” Really? It was innocent until you told them it was swearing. So now who’s wrong?

  21. i don’t know what to write about flip. may be the coin flipping, or the back flipping. but seriously, i don’t have enough idea about the flip meaning, as i am not a native English speaker. But i can try, yes, i can try..umm i guess flipping is sort of bending..or what??

Sacudiste-me o mundo, e puses-te tudo fora do lugar

  23. flipping
    back and
    forth between
    what was
    then
    and what is
    now
    that sick feeling
    when everything you knew
    is no more
    just a hollow memory
    mocking

  25. The lid is off, joy tumbles out like a popcorn popper dream. Only poppers ain’t what they used to be. This ain’t the 60s and dreams don’t come for free no more. No. You pop the lid off the top and it’s your brain, singin’ man. It’s the cosmic egg cracked open, only it’s like, totally your mind.

  26. The flip in her hair really bounced.
I flipped the table over in a heat of rage.
I can do a flip off the diving board no problem.

  27. With a flip of the switch and a little hand trick, Arthur let the lights flood the big stage. In the great amphitheater, people drank bulbous liter upon liter of spiced, liquid rage. When the actors all strode on the upstage road toward their destiny marked on a page, audience was in tears – no bad words or bad jeers – for the oddest little show of the age.

  29. Flip was the only motion he could describe it as. It was as if his mother simply flipped from the top of the stool, as she swung back and forth from the ceiling. She didn’t simply drop or step off of the stool, but she seems to have the urge to backflip from the stool as he witnessed is mother hanging from her bedroom closet, swaying back and forth form the neck.

  31. As he flipped over the bars, Estin caught sight of the dark haired man again. What would such a person be doing in a gymnasium, much less the ratty one he was in? He didn’t know, but he couldn’t dwell on such matters as he managed to land his triple backflip.

  32. Flip a coin to find out who will need to go first or what decision should be made. Flip is what a gymnast does or a football player in the end zone when he wants to celebrate a touchdown.

  34. Duke led me through the masses of drunken people at prom. I stumbled here and there myself, but only because everyone else’s feet and shoelaces were in the way–I swear!

And then he introduced me to this quiet girl, but I swear she was familiar. Duke, having peeled me from being a wallflower, now introduced me to another: one that was in the opposite corner of the room.

    “C’mon! She’s a nice gal!” he said.

I hardly had a moment to catch my guard–Duke’s own, illegally-substanced self suddenly took his own hand at making my lips collide with the girl’s. Suddenly, my world was completely flipped–what the hell, Duke?!–and then I remembered who that girl was.

  39. Summertime. Flipping, cannonballs, cheerleading, happy. The smell of fresh cut grass as you preform front flips, back flips. Joyousness, happiness. Next to the pool in the summer. Flipping off the diving board in the fresh, cool water. What a relief to flip in the water since the rays of sun are beginning to make your skin feel as if it’s pulsing with heat.

  40. Run, run, run, jump, leap through the air, turn, and land. The judges lift up their cards for judgment: 9, 7, 8, 9, 6. A few boos at the one who held up the 6, but other than that, cheers and enthusiastic clapping from the crowd. They’ve come to watch this perky little sprite show her stuff on the pole vault and the horse, and she has done her best to return their support by giving them the best flips that aerodynamics can provide.
