In todays time, that is something that we can only wish for. To be closer with people. That thing that is missing in this internet generation.

  21. Fun, life-enhancing, wanton, embracement of spirit. Laughter on a spiritual level, human eye to human soul.

  22. Conneaut Lake Park, NW PA. The Amusement Park to beat all others, at least in the mind of this 8 year old in 1969. They had a pony ride. I remember that I was allowed to ride, but that my sister could ride twice, because she was interested in horses and I just liked the ride. I remember thinking that it wasn’t fair, but also realizing that I would rather have been on the roller coaster than a brown pony anyway. Never thought about it before, but this is pretty much how our lives have turned out.

  23. He died in my arms before I could tell him how much he had meant. Although I knew he knew. Such a flirt when we met. When he asked Tom for my number…

    by Julia on 02.16.2012
  24. I have often wondered what it would have been like to be adopted, or to adopt a child of my own. I can’t see that it would make any difference. As I’ve gotten older, the link between people is not always due to bloodlines. I’m very glad things turned out as they have, but I do wonder.

  25. those eyes, that mouth and you pretend you don’t mean it. i kind of love that.

  26. I’m constantly amazed at the power of music to take us back to an emotional place. I remember in the mid-70’s, I heard Elton John sing the lyric “Butterflies are free to fly” and for some reason, that freed me in some emotional way, like a layer of ice broken through. I needed to hear that line at that exact moment. I don’t even remember what the issue was (probably typical angst) but it left an emotional image. When I hear that song, and that lyric in particular, I can still feel the release of understanding and emotion that I felt then.

  27. i love to flirt – or to be flirted with – at 43 flirting is not as often but definately more appreciated… every bit of me tingles inside and out and i realize too that is is only a flirt.

  28. Eyes meet. Linger. Pupils dilate. Dart away. Slow smile. A finger curls her hair. Heart racing. Is he looking? Yes. Licked lips. Imagination running riot. Dizzy head. Giddy nipples. Body burning. Pang of desire. A furtive glance. Study his features. Undressing him with hungry eyes. The need to be touched. There. A smouldering gaze. A beckoning finger. The window cleaner obliged.

  29. The brush rolls through the crimson, streaks the surface of the canvas and flirts with the notion of a sunset…no, a rose…no, something less obvious. An idea, then. It streaks slashes of red and skates along the blank plane, filling it up with something simply because there is a void.

  30. flirt as flirt can

    by otto on 02.16.2012
  31. “She said: it is fun to flirt, it doesn’t mean anything.” Everyone in the lunchroom laughed. The laughter was carried down the corridor, widening and deepening as it travelled.

Ellen was sitting alone in the office still working. She raised her head distracted by the noise vaguely aware that again she was the subject of the laughter.

  32. Flirting is a seducer’s game with the seducer trying to please the woman. This is not the way of the Don Juan. The Don Juan doesn’t flirt because he turns the tables on the woman by making her entertain him.

  33. I did something the other day that I will regret for a long time. I made a flirt with a young lady, who looked out of this world. She was stunning, and love was in the air.

But unfortunately, I’m having a war right now, and the enemy is winning. So sleep and the night will pay up later.
