Heartache. Why do they call it that? My heart doesn't feel anything at all. It's an organ. A bloody clump of tissue that pumps blood in and out and around.
You're a headache, just a headache. A migraine maybe. Because my heart didn't 'ache' when you went, when you left, when you disappeared. My head did. Does. It's in a million tiny shards, and the sounds they made when they shattered still echoes in the cavernous spaces and corners in my head. In my mind. A mind ache.
And it didn't- doesn't even really ache. It throbs and spasms. It's agony.
I am in agony.
Heartache is that contrived, over exaggerated term used by kids who think they know what it's like to feel.
Me? I feel. I feel too much. I feel for you.

A horrible pain that has been known throughout the ages and all have experiences at least once. A pain that even the bravest and most capable of souls cannot bear, despite how they may hide it. I, too, am one of the victims of this merciless feelings.

Hound dogs and heartache, Cline’s Your Cheatin’ Heart, Sinead’s Nothing Compares…Zena was working her way through all her done-me-wrong-feelin-sorry-for-my-unsaleable-self songs when her father blasted her door down during April Wine's Can’t Take Another Nite and he did a Vegas version of Danger Danger’s Get Your Shit Together.

As hard as he tries to convince himself that he has enough to keep his mind occupied, his treacherous senses tell him that brown eyes are green, that the cheap glass pearl necklace he bought was genuine, and that the fragrance on the air was perfume, not the scent of blooming apple trees.

No matter how much his aching heart tries to deny it, he misses her, plain and simple.

She had experienced heartache before but not like this. It was unbearable to think that she would never see him again. He had been such a large part of her life until now and she couldn't imagine doing without him. Where would she go? Who would she live with? She was devastated, her father had been her hero, her only friend and her confidant. She wondered if she could ever be happy again.

Ouch, that hurts when you leave me without saying goodbye. I wish that you could have stayed with me longer but you decided that you had to go. I guess whatever you are doing is more important than staying with me. But then again, You're probably just trying to do what is best and right for you. I just wish there were some way that you could stay. I would do everything. WILL do everything I can to get you back.
