  2. I don’t fall ill too quickly, but when I do get sick, it’s the worst feeling of all. It’s true, the body is the greatest instrument we will ever own, and the best time to realize this is when something is wrong with this magnificent collection of specialized cells that we call the human body. Out of sickness, appreciation is born.

  8. ill- requiring a direction, a w, a breath, an intention, a way of thinking that makes good. Will.
Six weeks ago I had a life threatening occurrence, a brush with mortality. By those who live by such things it was spun into an experience of fear. ‘She is so young, she is so healthy, how could this happen? what about her child? what if, what if…’
But it was a good thing, it was a re-framing of reality, of my life. My life. It broke open a wellspring of joy and hope and connection to life. Life force.
Julian of Norwich said: ‘And all will be well, and all things shall be well and all manner of things shall be well’

She was sent to her room, the door locked and closed behind her the day before, and she had not heard heads nor tails of him since then. How was he doing without her? Who was cooking for Master? Pet did not know, but she knew that all she wanted was for him to forgive her.

Asking questions isn’t and never has been my thing so naturally I followed the limping creature to the common room. There, I was greeted by a stamped of aardvarks with a bouquet of flowers with a tag on them saying “Merry Christmas to my one and only! Forever yours, Alfred” . To this I not only vomitted in my mouth but completely forgotten the good 11 animals in front of me.

Sick, I’ve had this feeling for quite some time now… That rumbling in your stomach that let’s you know you have less than sixty seconds to get to the nearest toilet before you blow it all over the nearest priceless rug. I hope that I get well soon, I’ve been getting plenty of those cheesy get well cards that you can buy in drug stores and convenient shops, but I still smile when I read them.
