  1. The iron gate closed harshly behind me as I stepped through into the overgrown gardens beyond. It was like walking through one of those stereotypical front yards that grow in front of that house where you just /know/ someone is going to die. And if you were to think just the same of this house, I daresay you wouldn’t be far off in that description. At least, in my opinion.

  2. iron is in the word irony which has nothing to do with the actual element iron. Even though the only difference in wording is the y at the end of irony. another interesting thing is that iron is a metal but i am not sure if it’s magnetic. also you can use iron as a verb if you are flattening something or straightening something. like you iron clothes or hair. it’s a super useful word.

  6. Could be about the human invention to smooth out clothes but personaly, I believe the vitamin suites this definition. But i can sometimes be up to the reader to interpret its most simplistic meaning because we are all, of course, simplistic beings

  9. Iron doesn’t breathe, does it? it’s just there, hardly even an entity, doesn’t even have the luxury of having air pass through its surfaces, just a solid, uncaring piece of metal. or maybe it does care.

  10. iron is strong. it can protect, it’s also quite useful for smoothing out wrinkles, although i doubt that’s what we’re talking about here. Steel comes to mind when i think of iron, no clue why. its spelled weird, awkwardly.

  11. I am quite bad at ironing. Whatever the material is always gets caught and kinks itself under the burning, steaming metal, causing funkily shaped creases all over, worse than the little wrinkles that were there in the first place.

  12. mom needs it in her body so she won’t go around looking pale as a ghost and struggling through piles of homework. it reminds me of food that needs to be cooked and things that need to be cleaned and tiredness that piles onto my body because I am not willing to deal with the reality of a beautiful life waiting to be discovered.

  14. iron is an element. it’s symbol is Fe. I’m not sure what FE stands for, because I don’t remember it from chemistry. Iron is an element in MInecraft that can be used to craft many things including weapons, armor, and minecarts. I think that iron is important for making steel too.

  17. ironing is the worst chore i have ever had the displeasure of doing. it is terrible! who cares if your cotton t shirt has wrinkles in it, or your dress’ crease is not exactly perfect? i sure as all hell don’t! gosh. i just wish people would be less judgemental….then maybe I wouldn’t have to iron as much….

  21. I need iron in my blood in order to give blood. I ironed my clothes for work tomorrow. Some people don’t like to iron, but I’m so OCD, that I love ironing. I love the crease in my shirts. I like to iron out the wrinkles in my life too. I wish everything could just be so smooth. No double-pleating for me.

  24. Clad in it. It protects me. However, it is also my greatest weakness. I’ve been shielded by it for so long, I can’t remember what it is like to feel pain. This is who I am now. I am a man of iron. I don’ feel anymore, but I miss it. I think I am starting to feel again…loneliness and sorrow. Yes.

  30. it’s what you use to take the wrinkles out of clothes–also what you need in your blood or else you’ll get mighty tired! there’s also a competition that people take part in that has the word in the name, followed by “man.” a type of metal. don’t get it confused with “i ran” or the middle eastern country!

  31. The taste of iron completely takes over my thoughts. Blood. I need it, and I need it now. I don’t know where I’m supposed to go to get it, but I know that I need it. I wont kill again. I swore to her I wouldn’t. Oh, but God the iron. I miss that taste. It’s funny. It’s a taste I once thought repulsive. Now I need it. Oh God. I need it.

  32. iron is hard and strong. i wish that i was as strong as iron. most people probably think i am but i usually am just putting on a front. I don’t know much about iron, really, all I know is that if I were as strong as people thought I was, I might be as strong as iron.

  33. ironing is one of the hardest things when it comes to appearance. not because i don’t know how to use an iron but because i never know whether or not i should use it. once i had this shirt that had like a billion wrinkles in it so i ironed them all out but it turned out it was my girlfriends shirt and it was supposed to look that way for “style”. Whats a girl to do?

  40. I don’t have enough iron in my blood. I get that from my incredibly anemic mother. I’m hoping that will be the only blood disease I inherit from her though. My mother is fighting leukemia right now and I don’t think I’ll be strong enough to fight it if I do happen to have the gene that cause the cancer…welp minute’s up.
