  2. Already we have discussed this topic. But once again young student I will explain lighting. Lighting is a thought. A flash, then its gone. You must grab hold of it before it disappears. If you wait, all you are left with is a deafening blast, and the sense that you missed something important. Grab hold, and don’t let go. Because someday that idea might save your life.

You know the scene. It’s dark, the thick veil of ominous clouds blot out the moon’s attempt to shine. The night turns black. Black and wet.

  8. “These lines of lightning mean we’re never alone”

    I never understood, well,
I never put much thought into the line.
I never felt the need to.

But while in my loneliest of hours,
    It showed itself again.
    Pulled me from the dark,
    Brought me into the rain.

Made me feel the rain on my skin.
Made the wind fill my ears.
Made me remember that there was someone else out there,
Crying with the sky, staring at the light.

I thought long and hard about that person.
    How we were the same.
    And how neither of us
    Alone.
