  1. My manager is a great person. She’s funny and nice, but a horrible employer. She’s so forgetful and makes promises to me she can never keep. I have YET to get my raise after months of my “promotion”. I’ve picked her kid up from school, run errands for her and I have nothing to show for it. It makes me so mad because if I had my raise I wouldn’t hate my job as much.

  2. Now how am I supposed to spend 60 seconds writing about something as dull as “manager”? Have you ever BEEN a manager? It’s awful! Takes all the fun out of working. All you do is go to meetings and try to stay awake while someone drones on and on and on because he loves to hear his own voice.

  3. Her manager made her eat an apple. she didn’t understand why. It was red. Pretty big too, like the apples one would give to their teachers. She wished she had peanut butter or cheese or caramel to eat with it, because she hated apples by themselves.

  4. She was a bitch, a know it all. My boss, the bully. Don’t know how she ever got to climb the mangerial tree, her brain is empty.

  5. The managerial office was filled by, well, a jerk. It wasn’t like there weren’t other choices- many people deserved the job, kind people, good with the employees. But, instead, they picked Robert Johnson, the dick from New York.

  6. when the manager told me ı was a genius ı was the one who was the happiest.

  7. I had a great manager named Austin. He was a flamming gay boy who cross dressed on the weekends. I learned more from him about grace and kindness than I have from most Christians. I miss him.

  8. Managers run stores. Sometimes managers are these pimply people in movies who love having power and like to pretend that thyey are important. Other managers are these really great looking people but they live at home with their parents. I wouldn’t want to be a manager, unless it was for a band or an actress. But no one really thinks being a manager is that great anymore

  9. The manager looked down at my from beneath his ginger mustache. I had to resist the urge to flick the point of it to see if it would fall off; it had always looked as though it was attached with Scotch tape to me. At the moment, however, as it was quivering with anger, I decided against it.

  10. The night-shift manager where I work is freakin’ crazy! I think he’s some sort of war veteran. And he definitely held an officer’s position. My friend got torn down for organizing toilet paper stacks in violation of protocol. Kinda has me wondering what things go on behind that grizzled face of his, while he’s stalking the isles, leering out at employees and customers alike (and cardboard cut-outs of famous people advertising products too; I think his eyesight is bad…).

  11. The manager owns the place, manages it, hence the name ‘manager’ and gets payed lots! He is THE boss.Takes care of all his employers. He runs the place. The boss. The owner. The manager.

  12. Let’s think about this rationally. As your manager, I speak and you obey. That’s how it should work yes? But I find you doing much of the talking. Form a partnership perhaps?

  13. Looking back on my life I think that I could have been a better manager of my time. My friends have moved on and I am still stuck in the same place that I was in ten years ago. It’s hard to move on when you don’t know how to move on. I don’t know where I want to go or what I would like to do with my life. Spending my time crying about the situation is really not helping me at all. I want to be free to be me. But I am stuck in this situation and this place in which I have no control over myself anymore. I want and need more for my life. I’m tired taking care of others and putting their needs ahead of mine.

  14. In life I do not want too be known as someones manager. I want to be my own manager. I want to travel the world with a camera and a sketchbook in hand. Thats it.

  15. Hagger was Jason’s manager, and for all intents and purposes a good one. Jason didn’t quite have that perspective however, and when it cam to save Hagger’s life Jason couldn’t quite bring himself to recognize Haggers qualities.

  16. The manager of my local mall is an utter asshole. You know, there are guys that get women and there are guys that don´t. He´s one of the second kind. He took away our half naked Abercrombie hottie because of “improper display of muscular tendencies in the stomach area”.

  17. Music. Love. People. Justin Bieber. Scooter Braun. Taylor Swift. Country. Pop. Tours. JB. SB.

  20. Manger of the internet. Heh, ever marveled at the nature of what it takes to “manage” something. Systems intricately woven. Computer databases. Our brain manages the cardiac, the nervous, the skeletal system.

  21. I have had some seriously bad managers in my day. In fact, I think the key to a good manager is that they don’t “manage” at all, instead they succeed by hiring GREAT people and empower them to do GREAT things. But beware this style of “management” is solely for the faint of ego!

  22. How does someone become a manager? Maybe they show that they have what it takes to be a leader. Or maybe they are just close with the boss, and got a promotion. That seems unfair. I fear that that’s how all managers come to be. But, how would I know. I don’t have a job. Not yet, anyway.

  28. There are many days where I feel like I can’t even manage my own life. Things seem too complicated, too intricate, too difficult for me to possibly handle. I don’t like feeling that way, but many days I don’t know how to stop it. Managing things has never really been something I’m really good at, but lately, it seems worse than ever.

  29. Manager: someone who runs/takes control/leads a group or company of people. but is a manger necessary? what use do they really have? some would say they’re useless, a manager is just a person who is glorified and gets the top seat for no particular reason.

  30. Bosses of companies. Usually they’re nice and somewhat young without looking inexperienced. I know one who is a very nice hickey respected woman with kiss. She always talks to us when we come into the resturaunt. Once there was an alternate there and since we waited so long for food he gave us a free dessert.

They lose their soul to that person. They let themselves go, they lose themselves. They asked themselves, “What happened to you?” and no answer comes out of their mouths.

  38. i am the manager
    of nothing in particular
but the way my thoughts twist around inside my opaque brain
    i manage my thoughts
    no more proficiently
    than could be expected
    with nothing to manage
    i am the manager
    of the nothing
    of everything
    that ever was unimportant

  39. The manager stayed late enough to close up, for the second night. But that night she wandered down the aisles, pretending she was shopping, just wandering, with a cart, to be alone, with her thoughts.
You never think of how beautiful an empty supermarket can be. How perfect the silence is when all the lights are off.
She hadn’t thought of it before, either, but then she tried it, and the solitude called to light everything she couldn’t voice during the day.

  40. I don’t think the manager will like it, he thought to himself.

He pulled the ladder out of the storage closet and leaned it tentatively against the first set of shelves. He felt the entire structure tremble a bit against his weight as he placed his foot on the bottom rung.
