  2. That’s a very interesting word that is brought up-I was not expecting it whatsoever. The mango yogurt at the froyo place is too tart and syrupy. I usually do a hint of it mixed with other flavors (choclatey).

  5. Mango was a funny SNL skit. They are tropical. I went to the store to buy a mango, but instead I got a tangerine. When I pointed this out to the cashier he pointed a gun at me and told me, “I don’t think you understand. Now, are you going to eat that mango or are we going to have to have a clean up on aisle three?” I told him I was going to eat the tangerine but I really just threw it away.

  8. Orange. Like the number five.

His shirt. It was the perfect color. His blue eyes looked magnificent against the fabric.

  9. I once saw a documentary on breast feeding. There was a 12 year old British girl who was still breast fed regularly; she didn’t see anything wrong with it. What’s worse is neither did her mother. The little girl said she would rather drink breast milk than eat 1,000 mangos. I thought it was a strange comparison. I thought the whole thing was pretty strange.

  12. wasted, on the beach. Fruit peer over the side, edge to the brink and salt fills you pores. You are an animal on the taste-buds of an ocean ride. Ferocious but delicate, slick and sweet. Slyly you prick with pit of your soul.

  13. Mangos are yummy but their peels can give you a rash which kinda sucks. Their juice is amazingly tasty and I like it thick. That sounds dirty. I didn’t mean it to be. Damn.

    by Jenny on 02.22.2011
  14. yum, its sweet and delectable. orange like the other fruit but cream like an avocado. The color of your first birthday cake, or small roses. Lately I wouldn’t worry about it. There was nothing to be frightened about.

  15. I just got mango and I didn’t know what to write then, oh well lets try this again shall we? Mangos are smallish fruits that are orange and green-ish in color and are rather stiff to the touch. Peeling the skin reveals a soft and tangy kind of fruit that is bright orange in color.

    by Julia on 02.22.2011
  16. Mangos are delicious fruits that people in tropical countries like to eat. Though people who are use to more northern climate will develop a kind of skin rash on their skin around the nose and mouth causing the skin to peel and die.

  17. One world of love, where the bright sun shines with the power of love, where it is in the touch of each in their smiles, in how they look at you. One world where no pain exists, where compassion lives, where each action is a demonstration of the passion each one has for life. One world is Love

  18. Days ago, my father reached his hand out to me. In his palm lay a vibrant mango, and he demanded I take it. Albeit a simple mango, it symbolized much more; a leisurely relic of tradition and imprisonment which bound me to an unloving family. He reasoned it promised me riches… riches that I did not earn. He reasoned it promised me a future… a future I did not want. He reasoned it offered me a home… a home away from the one I love. Never before had I been faced with an easier decision. I chose to struggle. Why, you ask? Because I had a choice — I chose freedom. I chose love.

  19. In middle school my best friend and I listened and cracked the fuck up listening to this really popular girl talk about her dog, Mango. Mango apparently humped everything, and this girl didn’t understand why. She was ditzily going on about it, and at one point she got down on the floor and pretended to hump something, yelling “The pleasure is all YOURS, Mango!”. It was hysterical.

  20. the first time my mother gave me mango I almost gagged up my entire lunch. I guess i’m one of those odd people who hate mango. Although I can have it in some smoothies if it is masked it doesn’t bother me as much.

  21. He looked at the fruit on the table. “Do you think fruits feel happiness?”

“Maybe, maybe not.” She said, looking away from him. They had been sitting at the table for hours, talking about fruit. All the while staring deep into each others souls.

“I like to think that they do.”

  22. once upon a time the mango was a fruit that had no meaning whatsoever, until today. IN a worl dfull of apples, tangerines, pears, and grapes, mangoes stood out vibrantly like a twisted sort of fruit that no one liked because it gave them Angelina Jolie lips and blistered skin like the sun of a hot world. The mango lives to give meaning, because it has a unique taste like no other. It make syou laugh, even though you don’t want to, and the tastes buds burst open like an exploding gloo.

    by Maria Kanai on 02.22.2011
  23. A fruit that has a pit the same size as the fruit. You can only cut it one way.

  26. Rita’s water ice, best color to wear if you have a tan, anything vacation incorporated, a fruit that I think tastes disgusting unless its artificially sweetened

  27. The mango smelled sweet. My mother, in her apron cooking dinner, always said to keep your head up. Under any disaster is a positive outcome. Because to this day, i still smell that mango.

  28. My friend ate a mango the other day. It’s her favorite fruit because it’s exotic and orange. I don’t quite understand people’s fascination with the fruit because it tastes a bit sour to me. Sometimes I wish I could understand why such an exotic fruit is so plentiful in America. How did it come here? Where did it come from?

  30. Sweet sent such as I had never known. You came to me in a soft summer breeze years ago. I lay waiting for the sun to set and the starts to creep out, and then a mango fell softly on my head. It was dropped there by my loving friend, sweet in nature and soft in words.

  32. The air smells like mangoes.

“Where the fuck are we, anyway?”

The taxi driver shrugs with a nervous grin. He doesn’t even speak English. He rolls down another window.

  34. mango’s with chile and lemon. A summer stable. An outdoor staple. Something that, if you’re from this part of the U.S. you cannot resist the temptation to eat something so juicy, so refreshing so invigorating. Too delicious to pass up, so we don’t. Surprisingly, it brings the saying to life that the best things in life are free because they might as well be. Cheap and delicious. What more could we possibly ask for?

    by Alamey on 02.22.2011
  35. Just a drop of mango
    and a side of grease.
    Give me the healthiest
    heart attack they’ll ever see.

    And just to make it
    more ironic,
    lets set the snakes loose
    in the oil fields they
    dug themselves.

  36. the sweet scent filled my nose and i pulled a mango off the floor and sunk my teeth into its skin. My heart skipped a beat as i remembered the first time I ever sampled such a delicate flavor. It was summer, i was young and care free, and my oldest friend offered it to me underneath the maple tree outside my mother’s house.

  37. I tasted the soft, mango flavored lips of my lover.

  38. One of my best friends is allergic to mango. It’s not a really bad allergy but it makes her mouth get really pink and bumpy, then her tongue inflates like a balloon. It makes her look stupid. I love mango. but i don’t eat it around her… just in case.
