Gabriel loved the color maroon, it reminded him of blood, something he thought was beautiful, because of Jesus’s sacrifice of his own blood. That’s why Gabriel loved blood, that and the fact that it made the impurities leave in a semi pure way. Gabriel, for as long as he could remember loved maroon, it had always been a well known favorite of his. Even when he was alive a very, very long time ago, he remembered liking the color, but, at that time it was just known as red or bloodshed color.

The woman descended down the stairs in a maroon silk gown. The room descended in quiet when they saw the beauty reflected off her face. Not just the physical beauty shown, but the joy that spilled from her face knowing that she was helping a great cause with her hefty donation.

5. like the band. i like adam levine’s voice. like the songs (don’t know all of them) — the beats are catchy. but the lyrics make me blush. also, the color is a brownish red. or is it a reddish brown?
also seems like the color matches the verb (which i think means to be stranded at sea?)

a color, what happens when someone is stuck somewhere alone in a way that may or may not cause them to go insane. one of my junior high school’s colors.
By Joseph Greene on 07.07.2011
my thoughts turn to blood…Also maroon 5, the band. I love one of their songs: Sunday mornings. Its the epitome of what I think love should feel like, really tender. The idea that once you find it you can go anywhere knowing you have that & carry it with you, as if in your back pocket…

Deep red. Pain and ugliness all wrapped up in a word. The color of my gay grandfathers frilly robe and the wine forever in his wife’s glass.
By Redflayme on 07.07.2011
5 Adam Levines. Lovely.

Bloody colour, not even nice, reminds me of that time of the month, wish it was brighter, redder, like a fire engine, instead its dull, sensible and gloomy. Reminds me of school blazers and boring lessons

Maroon is like dark passion. it’s the color of the juiciest plum or the deepest red of the sky at dusk. it’s a rose on the edge of death. it’s the blood in your veins, pumping idly through your heart, despite trying not to feel that lonely love.

Through acts of piracy and disloyalty even among his fellow pirates, the ignorant and newly-lonely pirate found himself marooned on a desert island without food or rum; he was left only with a single pistol.

I was marooned on an island getaway, located in the middle of the pacific ocean.
While there I drunk coconut milk in order to survive, and often hunted wild snakes in order to feed my hunger.

bleeding my soul onto paper, never denying that I know will be good. My favorite color, blood red, maroon. Marooned on an island with Gilligan & Ginger. Marilyn was prettier and would have been more fun.
By Stina on 07.07.2011
Maroon is the color that adorned my high school gym once upon a time. Back in the days of asthma excuses and atomic wedgies that were more real than the cold war ever was. I was the real maroon.
By DJL on 07.07.2011
maroon is an awful color. its the worst red in the entire world. but its part of the band, maroon 5. So, that makes up for its lack of color. Maroon 5 is a super awesome band. People can be marooned on an island, which would reallly suck (Gilligan’s island!).

“Let’s paint it maroon.”
“Alright . . . err, why maroon?”
“I don’t know, it’s just weird is all. I mean, I’ve never seen-”
“But I have.”
“Oh, okay I guess.”
“. . . so I guess, we should get started then?”
“yeah, that’s cool.”

I was embarrassed. My face must’ve been three shades of red. Close to maroon. But I didn’t mind. I needed to be heard. Who cares that the music stopped as soon as I repeated for the third time to the top of my lungs. I love you!

five is a horrible band with a lsutty lead singers….marron is a colour of a bdge in swimming lesson. It also reminds me of eria divitto for some strange reason. I guess its nice enough….kinda dark though.

Maroon was the color that spilled onto the pavement. I heard nothing as the blood flowed down the dive in the street. What just happened? I couldn’t believe it. I heard the smack, the thud, and then the scream. That blood curdling scream that would haunt my dreams forever.

The color of the sky that day was blue. Suddenly it became red with fire…white with atoms. After the mushroom cleared, the sky…the sky became maroon. Chernobyl was just the start.

maroon is the color that runs through my veins. not red like the cherries or like the breast of some majestic bird. just maroon. because it is simple. but beautiful. i hope that someone thinks that it is somewhat like myself. yep, that would be nice.

I have a maroon bag, with pockets and zippers inside, lots of ugly brass bolts. The bottom is home to mysterious sandy grit that lives in the creases. It smells like cinnamon gum and makeup. The outside is textured, like alligator skin; the inside is nylon.
By Lisa on 07.07.2011
maroon is a rich color that I like. It is deep and intense. also i could be marooned on a deserted island left to survive the elements with nature. I’m crafty and creative and will survive!

“How do you like it?” his mother asked. His father stood beside her, anxiously awaiting his response.
Jackson wanted to be grateful, but he couldn’t help it; his lips began to tremble and a tear rolled down his cheek.
“What’s wrong?” asked his father. “You’ve wanted a bike for so long.”
“It’s,” the little boy sobbed. “It’s pink.”
His father hung his head low. He’d been hoping his young son would overlook that it was his cousin Tanya’s hand-me-down bicycle.
“More maroon than pink, Jackie,” his mother said. “And it’s all we could get.”
His father put his hands in his pocket. “I’m sorry, son,” he said. He scratched his head. “Maybe I could figure something out. I guess I could work late a few nights next week.”
Jackson felt a surge of pity for his father. He was willing to work late so his son could have a bike. Jackson felt awful then, like he had taken advantage of his father.
“No, Dad,” he said. He wiped a tear off his face. “I like it.”

The color of the wine we were sipping as we sat under the moon. The color of that beautuiful rose right before its doom. We listen to that lyrical group, Maroon 5 while we sip on the Maroon wine.

i used to have a maroon shirt
it was part of the dress code at one of my
many old schools and i hated
the dress code but loved the shirt
it smelled like clean detergents and my childhood and
i don’t have it anymore

Maroon is the color of my work uniform and it is also one of the colors of my school. Maroon really doesn’t have that much meaning to me.
By Bianca URL on 07.07.2011
Maroon sounds like moron. It reminds me of Bugs Bunny going “what a marooooon”. I love the color. It goes by a different name, “aubergine”, and it was the highlight of the Ann Taylor fashion line for Fall 2009. I regret leaving that job, and that city, and that man. Half my heart is in NYC. </3

five…… one of my favorites. the color i prefer a v-neck to be, the color i prefer to wear around christmas. my favorite velvet dress- my teddy bear had a matching one. warm feelings and warm people, hot chocolate and comfort. maroon!

I seen this guy walking down the street wearing a maroon shirt. He looked kind of lonely until his mother walked beside him and gave him a lollipop. He seemed actually happy that his mother gave him the lollipop for he did not need it.

Somebody once told me that I needed to wear more maroon. Of course it was a woman. Only females know colors.
A man knows only the colors in the rainbow. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet.
Chicks know so many colors. Maybe if they didn’t, they’d have more room in their brains for things like driving.

its a color, idk theres maroon five! that band hahah. reminds me of hailey at this point. ughhhh that relationship is quite confusing if i do say so myself. the color is actually quite calming. reminds me of lavender. even if the smell is overpowering at times, its good in small doses. like weed. the purp. even better. in larger doses preferably. but enough to just enjoy yourself.

Maroon was the color of the sky that morning. I rose from my bed, filth and sheets sliding off with me, tagging along the extra mile across my room to the window. Then it all ended. Silence, maroon silence.
By Mickey Love on 07.08.2011
she was the only person to claim that maroon was her favorite color
i could search the world with all of the time it possessed,
and i’d never be able to find another like her.
the maroon within her mind contrasts nicely with the emerald hue of the heavens.
she always cared about the looks of things.
she’ll never have to worry about anything being dull…
wondering consists of whether or not Jesus likes gladiolas,
or an accented wall painted maroon.
but for now, she’s merely in bed.
