  1. ive missed the way you hold my hand the way you sing to me when we are in bed. ive missed your voice missed your sound and yet i have never missed anything more when you arent around. being missed by you almost makes it worse. i can help but not want you to feel the same things i do. ive missed being around you. ive missed a ton of opportunities to tell you i love you. ive missed so much and yet missed so little. i cant believe i had a life before you. i must have missed so much, so much color, so much sound, so many words that can now describe my life. time i have missed without you…so i shall no more be apart of these missed moments. I love you. from your darling.

  2. Everything I need got lost
    and where did it go?
    I never put it away
    Just gone and now
    It’s boxes upon boxes
    And nothing I can’t find

    by Joanna on 08.19.2011
  3. Missed. Opportunities.
    What could have been.
I sink into the cliches of this one word.
    Missed…what have I missed?
    And it comes to me…
In all my life I have only missed
    You.

  4. To be missed or not to be missed? That is the question. I miss the days when I can just hang out with friends and living the good life. Sometimes I want to go back to that place. It’s pretty bittersweet that I started a whole other chapter in my life. I guess I have to make the most of it. I hope everything will be worth it in the end. I just hope.

  5. I missed my chance two years ago. I’m not getting it back.
    I’m not missed
    I never was
I’ve got to face the facts
    and move on
    or else,
it won’t be “I missed my chance”
it will be “I missed out”

  6. I have a little girl in Swaziland that I think about every day. She moves my heart and I miss her so much. I wish I could fly over there and adopt her and bring her home to be with our family. She is alone. She has nobody. She could get AIDS. She could be harmed. I don’t want that to happen. One day maybe my dream will come true. Until then I hope she knows she is missed. By me. Her mom far away. The one who holds her heart. The one who prays for her and dreams about her and longs to hug her.

  7. “You will be missed” they said, three days ago. Now they crowd around the bar and tell the same old stories. You are not a part of the tales now anymore than you were while you lived here. So many years wasted trying to measure up to a measurement that never mattered.

  8. You could see it in his eyes. He missed us. Becker missed us desperately. The poor old dog, 8 years old now and growing gray hairs, lay down in the shade on the patio and sighed. Yes, he sighed. I didn’t think dogs could sigh, but there was no mistaking his resigned posture and that lonely look in his eye. The doorknob squeaked as I turned it causing Becker to cock his head with faint curiosity. In an instant, my dog’s weak curiosity turned to joy, pure, unfiltered joy in the moment he laid eyes on me, his long lost friend.

  9. i missed the bus last tuesday, which had a domino effect on my day. As a result of missing the bus, i was late to school which caused me to miss out on half the assignment and receive a terrible partner for the project. Now i am sitting at the library at 10 pm.

  10. The feeling you get when someone important in your life is no longer around , and you are stuck with the resulting feelings of grief and loss.

    by Sharon Cleverdon on 08.19.2011
  11. I missed the train, you missed the joint. Missed the missile through a point. I cant stand being missed when I know you treat me badly, so free yourself and me.

    by Cat on 08.19.2011
  12. missed has such a negative connotation to it. Miss is just an all round horrible word. you don’t want to miss, be missed.

    by Dede on 08.19.2011
  13. I missed my chance. It went be so fast and I missed it. People say everyone deserves a second chance, but I’m not sure there will be one. I am sorry now, but it’s too late. I missed you. Too late. Life. Missed.

  14. well so much for that. another missed opportunity. oh well, back to bed? It’s only 5pm. Guess I will read a book.

  15. When you lose some thing and long for it again. When you had a deadline or a meeting, and forgot or otherwise avoided it. When you’re playing catch and don’t end up catching whatever it was.

  16. Nada está perdido mientras quede aire. Sólo estirarse un poco, esforzarse y gritar. Evitar lo próximo: que esa mano enorme cierre el frasco.

  18. I’ve missed out on a lot in my life. I’ve always sat on the sidelines, waiting for the world to come to me, all the while everything was passing me by.

  19. Something is missing. I’ve missed it for an awfully long time. And I’m not sure what it is, yet. There’s a hole. An ache. Something needs to fill it soon, or I might just crack right open.

  20. The worst thing about missing things is not really being sure what you missed. You might think it was going to be wonderful, and so you are sad, but it might have turned out to be awful, so you might have actually gotten lucky. Sometime it is hard to be happy with what you have because you think you are missing something else, when what is really missed is contentment.

  22. Missed. I miss college. I can’t go back until Sunday. I feel like I missed out on a lot of the college experience as well, because I don’t drink, I found the guy I want to be with my freshman year and we’re already talking about marriage. I don’t do anything crazy. I go to class, work, then do my homework. I won’t have any crazy stories to look back. I don’t know if it’s a good or a bad thing that I’ve missed out on “typical college”.

  23. I missed the train at the station today. Not only was it unlucky but it seemed like it was on purpose. I woke up late to find that my alarm clock had been tampered with, and that it wasn’t set to ring until an hour later then usual. It was definetly a shock. IN the end, I found out it was Roscoe, my dog, who had accidenently hit the snooze button with his paw. When I got the work and went to tell my boss why I was late, he wasn’t there. I asked Janice, the secretary, where he was, and she said that he had had the same problem as me. I obviously wasn’t the only one who had a mischevious dog, who made me miss the train to the station.

  24. Missed opportunities? Missed someone? I don’t know. I don’t think about this word so much as I used to. I don’t miss the people I used to. I don’t think there are opportunities I’ve passed up. For once, I don’t feel I have any regrets. Which is different. And good.

  26. I missed my chance. He was gone and now I will not see him again. Maybe in a year we will run into each other, but most likely our paths only intersect once. He will not remember me in 20 years and I will spend those same 20 years trying to forget him.

  27. i missed my dog soo much, i just cant believe he’s gone. his eyes were so amazing, i can believe that stupid criminal blew his brains out. well, i’ll miss you Fluffers. 29. Missed… I’ve missed you, I’ve missed talking to you. But usually the reason you miss someone is because you got rid of them for various reasons or because it was time for them to move on. Missing is pointless in nature. It can go one of two places, back where the two of you started, or depression.

  31. to start of, it is awful to lose something and not have any idea where it is. There is a sense of incompleteness and it is hard to let go of the idea that things dont always stay for long. This is something the world will one day see

  34. He stood there staring at the raindrops forming, collapsing under the weight of emotion. His life, just out of reach, as he stood there. His feelings, immersing with the raindrops as they sagged and then streamed down the window. He missed. He missed Jane. He missed her smile, her laughs, the dimple that formed only when she genuinely thought something was hilarious. He missed her presence and the trail of laughter and joy that was left in her wake wherever they went. There was nothing he could do but stand there, staring out the window, at the raindrops streaming, streaming.

  36. A child is missed and lives away from family. A loving family that cares and waits. The missed child is forever lost, wandering the world in fear. It has missed the pictures, the memories, and the moments that a family would give. The child has missed friends that would last a lifetime.

    by Katelyn on 08.19.2011
  37. missed connection, missed flight, missed love, missed the boat, missed the exit, when we focus on missing things we dont remember that we have to press on towards our goal and remember what we still have the opportunity to save, what still could be beneficial to us in the future. i miss a lot of people i used to know, but if i focus on missing them i won’t ever see all the lovely people in front of me now.

  40. Missed. Past tense of “miss.” We tend to be missed a lot by others. It sounds a lot like “mist.”
