  1. Morality cannot be regulated. It is an elusive, yet apparent factor in humanity. Why do so many people balk in its presence, in fear of being “sucked in”? Others, use it as a badge of righteousness very few deserve.

And when one associates themselves with such a crowd, the good in them takes a heavy beating until one day, they will find the good pummeled out of them by the harsh reality of life. Such was his fate.

  7. Morality. The way I see it, if you’re immortal, you don’t have to have it. But no one- as far as I know, excluding my friends might-be Italian boyfriend, no one is, so go get some. We do stupid things and say it’s because of morals. You, well not exactly /ignore/ me but you sure as hell refuse to see and say it’s because of your morals…

  8. is a relative thing. and it has about as much freedom as our government. it is subject to bias and at the whim of its maker. but we need something to hold us together, even if those things are debatable.

  10. I guess we all should have some sense of morality. Be kind to others, eat all your vegetables. but what would you do if you had no sense of morality? Would you finally live how you want to live? Not afraid of what everyone else has to say? Would you finally be happy?

  11. Morality is fictional. Nowadays morality doesn’t exist. It’s something you read about in an old book. Back when people cared. No one cares anymore, really, except for themselves. I wish people would rediscover morality. It’s disappointing everyday because it doesn’t exist.

  12. what is it, really i mean? morals, ethics, issues, what ever it is… there’s one thing for sure; its that no one has one darn thing straight down these days… it makes me think of mortality… does it not? what are we without the morals we have… but then again what are we not?
yeash… this is getting too —

  13. We’re all moral in some way or another. We have morals because of our religion, because of our beliefs, because of who we are and who we were raised to be. I’m moral because of where I came from and how I came to be. We are nothing without morality. Morality defines who we are. We define morality. In every sense of the word.

  16. What exactly is the real definition of morality? How do we truly know what its standards are? Are we limited ourselves, or is it for our own good? How do we know what’s best for us when the present clearly does not show that? We will forever ask questions, but will get no reply if we only ask ourselves.

  17. Morality:
something people have morphed into an ugly beast.
    “What is right for you,
may be wrong for someone else.”
    Oh the horror of relativism.
    Now let’s be clear,
    we all have an idea of morality;
it is imprinted on our hearts, it seems.
An old man being mugged in the streets.
Shall we walk on by and not bring justice? Or even feel anger in our hearts? Not even the slightest?
A baby being shaken by an alcoholic mother.
    Is that wrong?
Well, if you adhered to relativism, you could not concretely say it is wrong.
    But without morals,
    there is chaos.
For, someone could cause mass genocide
and they would be free to do it again.
    No punishment for crime
    if morals are nonexistent.
In my opinion, all morals–the discernment between right and wrong–have come from God Himself.
If you erase morals and God from this world, what you have is chaos.
It literally becomes a dog-eat-dog world.
And to me, that is the most frightening atrocity that could ever occur in history.

  21. morality is a touchy subject to a lot of people. Morals are like politics and religion, you just don’t bring them up at a dinner if you want to have a nice comfortable time. But what does that say about our society? We are so afraid of contradictions and such that we can’t even stand up for what is right? we aren’t even open to discussion about differing belief systems or what not? Its quite appalling.

    by Hugh Crosmun on 10.04.2011
  25. What is there to say about mortality? One day we will all die. The only question that remains is how to address it. Do we attempt to prolong our existence? Do we try to hold on to life, living as if already dead? Or ignore it and risk fizzling out quickly in a blaze of glory?
