  1. All morality within our framework of society, is subjective. It’s deemed OK to kill in the name of war, but not OK to kill outside of that. As long as we collective think the end justifies the means, we can’t say we have a moral high-ground. I think for an overarching framework of morality the answers lie within, with a deeper understanding of spirituality, and the still small voice that tells you something isn’t OK even though your friends or society are telling you it’s fine.

  2. morality holds things together, but at the same time, allows for removal of responsibility for decisions. morality will always be controlled by the majority-if society says it’s ok, it’s moral. better to have an individual grasp on reality, than a vague sense of morality.

  5. I believe there is a fixed morality, laws of the universe that are not subject to our personal whims. I believe in God, who gives us laws and rules to follow to be happy and be able to return to him. I don’t believe that truth is relative. I believe that we all have a conscience that tells us right from wrong

  6. Seems to be lacking in America, especially politicians, who are thought to work for the people. Yet it seems the other way around. Do you like being a serf for people you may have voted for. Lets bring morality back.

  11. Is morality culturally defined or universal? Both. The big things are universal, like the golden rule. But the expression of them is culturally defined. Treat others as you would have them treat you…the second part is culturally defined.

  12. I am different to you and that is a fact. My perception of reality differs to yours.
    My question lies in what really is moral? Often time it is difficult to distinguish or rather decipher.

  13. Part of being human is having morals. I don’t really know if this is what morality refers to, having morals, or if it’s something else. But, either way, humans need morals. Some of those morals are universal truths that hold true whether you’re religious or not. Like, don’t steal. Don’t kill. Don’t be a total jerk. These are all things that we should abide by whether it’s in the bible or the government’s law or whatever.

    It is a question which is not easily answered.
    What is moral to me differs to what is moral to you.
    There are different perceptions of morality to each individual.
    One needs to delve into themselves to find what they consider to be ‘rightful’.

  24. Morality. morality. More Reality? Do we have morals so that we can be or seem more real? What really is the point of reality. I don’t really understand, I don’t think I truly will ever understand but for now I will still have them.

  26. Is there really such a thing as the truth? Omitting is much smarter than telling the truth in my opinion. Lies can save someone’s life. It’s unnecessary to reveal that you fucked her crush. She’s unreasonable to think that it wouldn’t happen. Lying saves a friendship, even if you don’t care about it being saved.

  27. morality is overrated. who wants to be a plain jane? when you can do whatever you want, you will find in yourself the ultimate freedom. even if it means stepping on a few toes to get there. morality is a hindrance, even though it’s socially acceptable. deep down, we all want to be immoral, and if we were, we’d be at peace with ourselves.

  28. Morality, what is it? How do I know that my desires are immoral or not? I just want to bring happiness to them all, but I can only choose one in the end. But which one? My life or his? Our lives or separate? I want a Kubliy, I want a Gustav, but the world spins and they will have to wait until certainty holds us together.

    They had loved each other once. Hadn’t they? That doesn’t go away so quickly. Does it?
    What if it did? What if she hadn’t loved him? What if after all of his fuck-ups, and they were numerous, nobody came to him? Especially now, when he needed people, anybody really, now?

  32. this is when you know what’s right and wrong. When you’re own sense of the world gets in the way of you doing things. When there’s something you want to do, but the world would judge you for it, that judgement is morality.

  36. Morality is commonly unknown in terms of its definition. Not many people know how to define it or what it exactly means but we are good at taking a stab at it. We are also good at using the word to personally attack people and make ourselves out to be smarter than we are.

  40. screwed up. morality is nothing but a standard that man conjured in order to convict another man of a sin. there is no basis for morality because morality is not objective but subjected to the conscience of the society.
