  15. What is necessity? Is it necessary to have a roof over your head? Most people these days think so, but when you get down to the core meaning of “necessity”, it really isn’t. Things that are truly necessary are food, water, a comfortable climate to live in, protection from predators, human contact, and love. Sure, you can live without love, but we all know how awful that feels.

  25. It’s funny how most people’s lives are filled with so many material things, things that they would consider necessary but are really just a farce to make themselves happier. Alex used to think that way, too. She used to think she couldn’t live with her dry-cleaned, impeccably pressed two-hundred dollar suits or her five-hundred thread count sheets. It’s only when she lost everything did she begin to realize what was really a necessity.

  30. Im pretty sure there’s a lot of this in most people’s lives at the moment. One day there won’t be, it will be more chilled and relaxed when everything’s settled down and people don’t have to stress about working all the time. Not that working’s a bad thing, people left to their own devices can probably get a bit messy.

  37. something ht atyou can’t be without. food water. shelter. love. everyone needs love, no matter what they say. people do things out of necessity for love more than any other reason in my opinion. people rarely have to do things out of necessity for other essentials. in the developed nations we are lucky that way. we only have to worry about whether we are loved.
