Pastel. Color’s used for easter, and many other things such as children’s rooms and so totally over rated. They are never strong enough, and seem as thought they have been diluted with a dirty glass of milk.
Pastel colors make me think of babies and of cuddly stuffed animals. I used to have a security blanket that was all of the colors of the rainbow in pastel shades. I lost it in Switzerland, though, which was very sad and tragic for me.
The colors of his life had always been vivid, deep reds and vibrant yellows. He didn’t know how to deal with David, who saw the world in soft pastels. Seth felt sorry for him, and sorrier still that David actually seemed to pity *him*.
Pastel is a color often used in clothing. The color the word is written in looks pretty pastel. It’s not a bad pastel, I just would never wear it. Probably. I don’t really like it because it’s super feminine and reminds me of sluts. But that’s just me.
and when the clouds unveil a sun brighter than that of winter they run like thirsty men to a river bleeding a blood unknown by all others a blood that’s pastel and thin covered in letters or little whales asking to be admired as well as to amuse they know not their place but they know their time
Subtle, I like the simple soft colors of pastel. They do not BEAT you over the head with their simplicity and loveliness. Sweet pastels for babies and older folks. Softness and roundness.
colors that make me think of spring, love and something soft you can cuddle with, pastel blue pink and summery soft glue? where did that come from? pastels create the softest sunset and the softest dreams. Pastels are the colors I would use to describe a tree and me and you and that feeling in those moments that weren’t meant to be captured
The pastel paper inside the envelope felt smooth beneath my fingers. It was think enough that the ink of the pen didn’t bleed, and the pen didn’t leave an indent. I held my breath as I removed the letter.
This reminds me of a color but I think it’s also something you write on or with. Like an oil pastel or some shit. Oh god I’m so bad at this I can’t beleive i got this word. Anything that has to do with art I just suck at. If it was a life or death situation, and I had to do art….I would die…..Yep I would die….
I love the pastel colors most. There’s something so calming, so beautiful about them. They remind me of English Rose gardens. The kind I use to visit with Nana, before she died. I don’t look at pastel paintings anymore.
This seems like a happy word to me. I always think of bright colors…almost always Easter. It’s a word that conjurers up images of spring and flowers and grass. Lots of grass. I like pastel things. They’re fresh and new. I also think of paint, which brings me back to childhood, what with the days you would paint. I loved painting when I was little.
mmm, pastel makes me think about art and my secondary school art class. all of those prep work drawings and sketches, always trying to find different media to use…my favourite was always oil pastels :)
She discovered her favourite colour in that box, a turquoise that stained her fingers with velvety almosts, painting her world in a perfect balance between sea green and oceanspace.
She tried to find it again, years later, once it had gone, and couldn’t remember the name of the shade.
Nobody quite likes the same things i=I do. Everyone goes for the rich, seductive reds, or the regal, confident blue. Some, more daring than others, will veer towards the short, fully sequinned number.
I however, fall for the simple, knee length dress, the one that makes me nostalgic of windy days at the beach in summers past. With its dropped neckline and pale pastel hues, it’s beautiful. Just not in the way they would recognize,
My Easter outfit will soon be full of a pastel color explosion. High waisted shorts, a white blouse. I’ll be adorably decked out in floral. Also, ready for little cousin tackles plus drunk aunt catching.
Pastel colored shirts blanketed the crowd. The sound of the speakers roared like a lion ready to make it’s kill. The crowd cheered as they took to the stage. The music started to play and the crowd sang along
Chalky walls closing in
pastel paint still drying
sun streaming through the window
and a steel heart falling through the floorboards
this love it though it’d never know
Oil pastels, beuaitufl, i dont understand the way the colors work together and are molded into such fascinating pictures. artists and their pastels. pastels and their artists. each is useless without the other. oh how they create beauty, oh how they are lovely. pastel pastel pastel. trees, and nature and love.

the pastel pink was the perfect color for her easter dress. it perfectly complemented the hints of red in her brunette hair and the velvet hat atop her hair. she smiled daintily as a child handed a small beautifully decorated easter egg. Oh, how nostalgic easter was. She remembered the last time she had been to such a glorious occasion such as this. But even so, he was still so miserable, never to be happy again. What was she doing wrong?
i want to paint

with those old pastel crayons great aunt irene bought for me
in that box
oh that black box on my birthday
i want those simple days

I think of easter, with my mother and sister and father, all together, making home videos. I’d make up songs about socks and eggs and everything I could see in the room while the video was being filmed. I had a yellow dress and white shiny shoes, white tights as well. My father was talking me through the songs and praising me every step of the way, and I was trying to hog the spotlight from my little sister. Now my parents are getting divorced.
The mauve pastel colors of the wall start to form into some twist of space. Just another half hour at this table, too tired and snuffed out to speak. Yet the silence isn’t as painful as one would think. Sometimes, it’s nice to just listen.
The pastel colors are so bright this spring season. The are all the glow with the teenage girls. Even the boys are getting into the colors on a paler note though.
I used oil pastels in art once, forever hunting for the one that even remotely resembled flesh. It was pinky-white, hardly a colour suitable for the olive of your skin, but I tried anyway to blend. There was just something about you that I could not achieve in any artistic form.
pastel dreams, pastel cream, marie atoinette, she wore pastel. pastel, you bring me basketfuls of colourful eggs in soft pink, robin’s egg blue, and hazy sea-foam green.
Beautiful, pale gorgeous pastel shades. The sky soared overhead, the setting sun bleak against the magnificence of the land it lay in. The colours melded into one, glorious in their light. Each shade became another, transformed into something new, unique, brilliant.
Pastel colors, much like baboons, are liars. Baboons will say, oh, I won’t take forever. Pastels take the longest to dry, didn’t you know? Well, yeah. Explosion. Boom.
Colours. Art. Drawing. Pastels are so peaceful and seem to remind me of the sea for whatever reason. I love them a little bit. I love you a little bit. Pastels remind me of vogue last year when they were the colour to wear! I never did wear them. They seem sad to me. They are like a bright colour has faded and is now either mellow or sad. I love you. Bye.
soft color that girls usually paint rooms with. they also wear dresses with pastel colors. pastels are usually seen around easter time. i think pastels are nice colors, i would just rather have a much more vibrant color than something so soft and light. pastel yellow is pretty.
Pastel colors say i’m cute and quiet, but still beautiful in my own way. They don’t scream at you and get in your face like neon colors. They don’t hide in the corner or act like they’re going to come at you like dark colors. They are just nice, kind, caring colors. It’s just who they are.
I was never good at art. I never felt artistic. The lines I drew were different than others and I could never use pastels ti create that perfect picture, however I was a pastel and that was too much for anyone to handle. I drew my own world.
Pastel colored Easter eggs always get me excited for spring. From the pinks, to the oranges, to my personal favorite, the mints, these colors define the season and lift spirits. The sun is coming out! Garden parties won’t be rained on! Sun dresses are back!
The room was painted a pastel color of blue. The curtains and beds a beautiful shade of green. The crib sat in the corner empty. The rocker no longer used.

Pastels can be used to create wonderous drawings. They can blend and mix colors into complex rainbows. Life is like that, unclear.
