  9. I heard this phrase, “A different breed of cat.” i didn’t quite know what it meant, but I really enjoyed the ring to it. So I googled it, hoping to find out the meaning I had already thought it could be. But when you google it, all you get is pet breeding sites and zoology websites.

Then there’s catch phrase–something God threw in a fun party and someone enthusiastic about playing that game. Hey, I know you like games–here’s someone who could encourage you.

  14. There are a lot of phrases in this world. Some are well known and some are not, but no matter, a phrase has the ability to change someones life around. I know that there have been plenty of phrases that have changed my thinking and my beliefs just because I truly thought about them.

  15. Don’t just give me a phrase you’ve heard sometime and think you can use it on me when you have no clue the meaning of it. If you haven’t lived it or haven’t really discovered the deeper meaning don’t be uttering it. Even if the phrase was true you could do it much disgrace and then the real truth of it would be lost and covered up with your ignorance; get real!

  17. What a simple phrase… I love you. But it is used far too often, and not enough. I heard it today, and it almost made me sick. Such a beautiful phrase, but today, so ugly. He didn’t mean it, I can tell, but she was fluttery and thrilled to the bones.

    think about it.
    for instance, the phrase “i love you” could mean so many things.
    “IIIII love you.”
    “i LOVE you.”
    “i love YOU.”
    i’m pretty sure i’ve been told that phrase so many times and interpreted so many different meanings.
    i love you.

    “What do you mean?” There was no alarm in his voice. No teasing or mocking, but Ella knew Eric was bothered by what she had said. She had stopped him in his tracks.

    “I mean… well, you could just be more romantic or even passionate about it. “Come on baby, let’s go to the bedroom” was cute the first and second time, but not anymore.”

    Ella finished, the weight of the statement off her conscious and the knew awkwardness settling on it.

  26. I think it’s ironic that I’m working so hard to figure out how to phrase the word phrase; although, that might not be irony. It might just be a situation in life that is not described by any pretentious literary terms. I can’t stand when people use the word irony JUST to sound smarter or some reason like that. It’s just stupid

  40. what is the word phrase? i think of quotes. most recent would be ‘damnably cold out there’ which it was this morning when i was taking the train. 5:30am and the cold wind is biting. bundled up with my 2g jacket and fingerless gloves. hooray.
