one day i went to the store and ran into this old lady that kept farting in front of everyone pretending to not know what she was doing and a monster came and took her to the bathroom and ate her then the monster came out wearing her skin and everyone looked at the skin wearing monster and ran at that point i woke up and realized that it was all a dream. i got out of bed and took a shower after the shower I drank my coffee to wake up
“Ugh, I hate you,” I said. “Why?” he said seriously. “You look so cute in plaid, and it’s hard for me to be mad at you,” I smiled faintly, and he laughed. But I was still mad. I just didn’t have it in me to tell him that or act on the feeling, so I went on as if everything was okay. But inside, I was still bleeding from the fight, and I felt like he had left me to die.
I wasn’t gay enough to join that crowd because the only piece of plaid I owned was a girly pink halter top that showed too much cleavage and probably would have gotten me a girlfriend in a second if I’d ever dared to wear it out.
The small boy with the plaid shirt looked absolutely ridiculous. It was open all the way except for the top button. He wore a white t-shirt underneath and a red bandanna over his forehead. He wore sunglasses and looked like a west coast gang banger. Except he was five years old.
tiny lovely checkers. lines that box, not sweep. braided pig tales and tea. walking to school, no reason for hype technology. good earthy old fashioned art.

Plaid has always reminded me of those horrid school uniforms I wore so many years ago. I was at the school for only three days, but it felt like weeks. The teacher was absolutely horrid, and I was lucky enough to have a mother that care enough about my feelings to pull me out of the school and send me to a better one.
The shirt he wore matched his eyes. Green plaid. I sat and watched him in English class, hoping he’d maybe glance at me and notice me noticing him. Oh, the game I play to get him just to see that I like him. I’m too shy to tell him; to just go up and kiss him like I long to do…

I own a red plaid skirt which I wore to a Renaissance Festival once. It is one of my favorite skirts. Not sure what else one says about plaid. Doesn’t elicit a lot of thought or emotion really.
A complex (or not so much) combination of lines, making perfect quadrilateral shapes. Many different color combinations, so many options. In and out of style often. So many times, representing everything from Lumberjacks to Miley Cyrus and Wal-mart.

I walked out of the front door, feeling the wind hit my face on the cold winter morning. Something didn’t feel right. I had my phone, purse, and shoes on, but something was missing. I quickly realized that for the first time since my father had died, i had left the house without his plaid jacket.
I was wearing that color forever. It was a horrid color, although not just one. It was many colors in lines. Plaid. I hate that awful poser of a color. But I was wearing it on that fateful day. The day of the car crash. I wasn’t in it, but I swerved to avoid it.

Plaid is something that lesbians are known to wear. This one girl on Jess’s facebook wrote an answer on formspring about how to detect lesbians, and one of the traits is if your friend for no reason suddenly has a massive accumulation of plaid.
i love plaid. it looks good on skirts, ties, boots, socks, shirts, etc. it is a fashion statement and it is beautiful while still slightly masculine, even if you make something with a feminine silhouette in plaid. i love plaid. it is very versatile and you can pretty much do anything with it.
